āI was a bit of a loner before I had her. I wasnāt a social person. I stayed away from people because I thought that everybody had a plot or a scheme. But sheās taught me how innocent people are when they start out. I mean, sometimes sheāll butter me up because she wants candy or a cookie. But then other times sheāll just hug me for no reason.ā

21 things black men donāt hear often enough
1. I love you bro. We donāt tell each other as men how much we mean to each other. There is no weakness in that. Only strength, solidarity, and power.
2. You donāt have to be perfect. You just have to commit to getting better.
3. Someone is depending on you, to be exactly who you are.
4. Read more. You have time to read 12 books a year (which is more than the average American). We also arenāt average.
5. Showing and sharing your emotions isnāt a sign of weakness. Paying attention to how we feel helps us become more in tune with whatās actually going on.
6. Your mental health matters. You canāt āwork yourselfā out of your mind. Emotional trauma is very real and worthy of our time. Weāve been through a lot recently.
7. Living is an act of resistance. You are going to live, get out all these dreams, and thrive ā despite the odds.
8. You are a descendent of kings. Seriously, donāt bow your head to life. You were built for this.
9. Their opinion wonāt pay your bills, or build your dreams. They wonāt always see your vision. Not everyone is supposed to.
10. Failure isnāt a tattoo. Learn how to take the Ls and move on. Adapt and overcome.
11. Getting this money, and doing good, arenāt mutually exclusive. You just have to be clear on your non-negotiables and stand by them.
12. You donāt have to ask for permission to be excellent. Go for it.
13. āEverybody eatās bā ā Ace Boogie. Seriously, we can all get what we want to out here. Helping people doesnāt make you a sucker. Do have boundaries though.
14. There is absolutely nothing wrong with working for someone else (even if youāre from Harlem), but it pays to think like an owner. Signing the front of a check is very different than the back.
15. #BLACKLIVESMATTER
16. If someone knocks you for your 9-5, they (1) arenāt your friends and (2) they donāt know about your 6-10. Keep going.
17. Start owning when you can. Pay yourself first. These loans aināt loyal.
18. We donāt need to prove anything to anyone. Youāre excellent and itās perfectly okay to still be warming up.
19. Try to take care of yourself. I love Popeyes, but what we put in ourselves can actually kill us. Exercise, eat well, and get active. Put some $$ on your jumper, and invite your team out!
20. Learning how to cook is a great look. Seriously. Watch a couple Youtube videos, hit Home Goods, and start cheffing.
21. āSomedayā is never going to show up on the calendar. Write that book, send that tweet, record podcast. Donāt opt out, especially not right now.

Special Charcoal Was Used to Make Cave Drawings in France During the Last Ice Age
Tens of thousands of years ago, during the harshest of ice ages, prehistoric artists were making cave art on the walls of Chauvet Cave in southern France. Specifically, they were painting during the Aurignacian, 37,000 to 33,500 years ago, and the Gravettian, from 31,000 to 28,000 years ago. These prehistoric artists painted lions, rhinoceroses, bears and other animals that lived in Europe at the time.Ā Analyses show that too much charcoal was being used to be the by-product of charcoal for cooking, or charcoal for warmth. They were producing charcoal in copious amounts just for the purpose of art.
Recently, researchers sampled and analyzed charcoal traces from Chauvet Cave. Some samples came from the art, other from hearths found in the caves.Ā Of 171 samples, all but one originated in pine, a tree that survives in cold conditions. The one exception was buckthorn, which also does fine in extremely cold climates.
Which raises the question: were the artists choosing to use pine charcoal, because it is particularly good for their art, or were they using pine charcoal because it was the only reasonable option?
to the men that were used by a broken women iām sorry. to the men that were faithful to a women that wounded them emotionally iām sorry. to the men that have been sexually abused by the women they love and trusted iām sorry. to the men that have been physically abused and mentally abused, iām so sorry. you deserved better and you arenāt less of a man. i hope you find peace.
I hate glamorizing over-working. Itās not healthy. The fact that there are so many people going without sleep, food, personal hygiene (not to mention time for relaxation, personal time, and socialization, which are very necessary for mental health) just to stay afloat is not something to be celebrated or applauded. Itās a problem, not a goalĀ that all good employeesĀ should aspire to, or a norm everyone should beĀ expected to perform.

I needed to hear these exact words. š¢š¢š¢

i understand that my friends donāt wanna talk every day. i understand that my s/o doesnāt wanna be lovey dovey and super indulgent every day. lots of people need rest from performative emotions. all people need rest in general! itās okay!! it doesnāt mean they donāt love me!! itās not a judgement or punishment!! they deserve to take their rest, and they deserve for me to treat their needs with respect!
not a lot of ppl grasp this.
I'm married and I'm messing with a married man. A few days ago he told me he has caught feelings. I did fall in love with him but I can't bring myself to tell him in fear that he may be playing with my emotions. We've been messing around for almost three years, is it possible he is telling the truth?
Itās possible. But you shouldnāt get a divorce because you caught feelings for the person youāre cheating with. Hereās why:
This analogy may seem weird at first, but humor me for a second.Ā
You know how children always love their aunts and uncles? Aunts and uncles are fun because they buy you stuff, theyāre always happy to see you. Theyāre not always on your case about shit like your parents.Ā
Aunts and Uncles are fun because they only have to see you when they want to. They donāt have to deal with you 24hrs a day, feed you, clothe you, discipline you, make you do homework. They arenāt your parents so they donāt have the responsibility of the dirty work. Thatās why they seem so great.
This nigga youāre cheating with is an āuncleā.Ā
Heās not tasked with the dirty work. Managing bills with you, running a home with you. Smelling your period farts when its that time of the month. Seeing you looking busted when you take that sew in out and donāt have any makeup on.Ā
Your husband deals with that shit on the daily. Your husband represents real life and the not-so-fun things that come with it. Thatās why the side nigga seems so great. Your side nigga is a vacation from the responsibilities in your real life.Ā
Iām not telling you not to cheat. Iām just telling you not to throw away your marriage for greener pastures. Because if you do⦠your side nigga wonāt be the āuncleā anymore⦠Things wonāt be so great. And you might regret your decision.Ā
BRUHā¦.
This nigga really broke it down
Realist post I seen in a while .
wow the thoroughness of this
