Took a random trip to my local #goodwill yesterday and look at all of these gems I found! 😍 I bought all of these for less than $1 each. I'm SO excited. I'm challenging myself to read one book a week next year and this was the perfect way to grab a bunch of books without feeling guilty for spending too much. Definitely doing this more often. 🙌🏾

Currently enamored with this queen. I've been immersed in her writing recently. Wanting to know more of what inspires her writing style. Y'all can have beyonce. lol, I stan for Zadie. 🙇🏾😍 #zadiesmith

I'm sure you have seen this photo of our First Lady countless times today...but I couldn't let this day end without posting it myself. Over the past eight years, Mrs. Obama has shown us what it looks like to be a woman of class and integrity. She's displayed strength, intelligence, and humility all while being a supportive wife, attentive mother AND an amazing example to women and girls all over the United States of America. I am so glad that we were able to see this incredible representation of the black woman in the White House. And can I just say it felt SO good to have a First Lady that looked like me 😍. Let us not forget that no matter what obstacle is before us, we are fully capable and equipped to overcome it if only we believe we can. I'm so proud of @michelleobama and President Obama. Thankful that I as well as my nephew and children of the US were able to witness this beautiful family lead our country. I will miss them dearly.

@theprayerprojectchallenge is back with a new challenge beginning October 1st! We are living in a time where so may people are in mourning. Families grieving the loss of their loved ones at the hands of violence, cancer, miscarriage, and even suicide. So what is it exactly can we do for them? God promises to comfort those who mourn. He also gave us each other so that we don't have to go through it alone. Praying for those in mourning can be one of the greatest gifts you can give them. This is our focus for next month. Challenge for October: commit to writing prayers for 30 days for someone who is grieving. This may be anyone near or far that you know has recently lost a loved one. Over the weekend I was reading #thebeautifuldisruption, and this message couldn't have come at a better time in preparation for #TheHeartDetox. When we are broken and drained from life's events, no one person or thing can fill us back up. We often try what we can with our own logic and our own power and continually end up in the same situations over and over again. How can we break this cycle? This is what we will be discussing beginning tomorrow in The Heart Detox e-Course. How, when and who He chooses to bless and give certain things to is based on His choosing and His purposes. Stop trying to earn God's love. No matter how much you go to church or read your bible, He already loves you. Any "effort" on your part is not going to make Him love you any more than He already does. Rest.
