“Talking about it won’t help, You wouldn’t understand anyways. This is a pain that belongs to me, It’s at home deep in my heart and soul. If you asked me about it, I would lie and laugh it away. If I talked about it, I would cry. So I keep it a secret, hidden deep inside me So even I wouldn’t have to see it everyday. Occasionally I would stumble over it and quickly shove it back. Talking about it won’t help, you’d have to tear my chest open and look for it, deep inside me. You’d have to break apart my smiles and laughs, my body, heart and soul. And everything would fall apart, when it came flooding out. Slowly dripping, a small drizzle like a summer’s rain until a whole storm erupted from my chest. And thunder and lightning burnt me until there was nothing left of that person I liked to tell you I am. And then you’d see, This is me, this is my pain, This is my heart and soul. This is what is left of me. This is who I am.”
