One and the Same
Lifeless bodies were easy to move. They didnât fight or ask why, they just moved where you wanted them too. Once the woman was wrapped up Noel lifted the victim over his shoulder and took her about half a block down under a small bridge. Rather than leave her in the water where she could float down and be found easily, he hid the body in the scaffolding under the bridge out of sight. It would be a long time before anyone noticed and by the time anyone smelled it, decomposition would take care of most evidence already. It was too risky to move her any further.Â
The sound of the water running was a little reassuring but Noel harbored a lot of questions about this kid. Since thereâs a bit of a truce going on maybe he could get some answers. The biggest questionâŚÂ
âHow long have you been doing this,â he asked. âWhy did you even start?â
âA while.â He stated with a shurg, unable to remember how long it had actually been.Â
âSomething just clicked one day while hunting one day. I realized how much I love blood, guts, gore, and most importantly causing pain~â His eyes just lit up as he spoke, nearly giggling in delight.Â
âSo yeah, Iâm fucked up. Apparently though youâve got a few screws loose as well. Must be genetic~â
âDonât get too excited. Again, weâre nothing alike. I did what I had to so I could protect what was mine. Doing it right keeps you safe. Youâre a kid gone mad thatâs ended up in my lap,â Noel responded.Â
While Noel didnât think much of himself, after what heâd become because of his circumstances, he was sure that any other version of him would have done well to take care of their own, or leave behind a situation where his kids would be safe without him. If his life could change this much, theirs could to. He still wasnât willing to regard this child as âhis ownâ but letting him loose as he was the less desireable.Â
âClick or not, itâs an escalation to go from animals to people and hunting to murder. You must have been a sloppy hunter too.â Something else must of have happened, even if he didnât realize it. No oneâs born crazy, right? Not that anything in the past made any difference right now or in the near future since he was somewhat stuck with his unwanted guest.Â
âThe first piece of advice Iâll give you is this: Donât play in public.âÂ
