I’ve learned a lot from tumblr these couple weeks, from how to use it to interacting with my fellow classmates. One thing I found out to be interesting is that,  everybody choose a topic that they were comfortable writing about which is a good way to share ideas. Some of them shared their stories and their passions in life. Others shared their struggles and emotions. I came across a lot of amazing photos as well as funny photos. I really enjoy the whole purpose of this assignment which is to share ideas and interact with people by giving our opinion

For as long as I could remember, women have been trying to meet up with society's expectations. Women are supposed to be the homemakers, the peacekeepers, the nurturing, loving, soft, smart, fall back on type. Now, things are different. Women are tough now a days. With more responsibilities and more to carry on their shoulders, some women still want to play the role as a man. Well, if they want to do that, I say treat them as a man. They have been fighting for their rights to be treated equal but when punishment is questioned some may argue that woman should be dealt with differently. Women have no place in the crime scene, most of them are just not built for it, but the ones that is are just as capable of committing horrible crimes as men. Women are more emotional and have more hormones than men, therefore, could make a simple crime ten times worst. For example, if a man robs someone, he might just stab or shoot the person once or twice, or enough to get away. If it was a woman in that same situation, she'll stab the person thirteen times then walk away. Criminology says 80% of crimes against persons are caused by someone you know. Men could harm someone they know and don't feel any differently, but with a woman, it automatically turns into a crime of passion. Even though women do not have the physical ability to do some of the things men can, women have the brains and is smarter, therefore can make a crime just as worst as any other. People always say “If you can't do the time, then don't do the crime!”. That goes for women as well. 

What I value most in life is the fact that I can have more than one virtue.Personally, life is conjured up of multiple values that ischerished and handled with delicacy. When you truly value something you will go to the ends of the earth for it. It means that much to you. One aspect that I value tremendously is soccer. Soccer has played an important role in my life ever since my exposure to the game as a young adolescence. When I joined my first soccer team, they treated me like my family would. Unlike many other sports, soccer requires a commitment that is unparalleled. The mental and physical toughness combined with the agility and swift movement makes it the cross fit of sports. At the very young age of four I started to play soccer with my brother and childhood friends. From what I was told, I picked up the game exceptionally quick. I was able to do moves that the average 7 year old were capable of doing. Seeing the talent from within, my brother fostered me by sitting me down and show me soccer game after soccer game on television. My regimen consisted of a daily drill session with my brother in our background. Within 2 years of practicing I eventually played my first official game at the age of 7 after making the local team. I learned, years after, the soccer games were more than just games. They were about bonding, team comradely, leadership development and personal fitness. I only recognized the physicality then as I played on the team. The coach would tell us,“if you don't have guts, don't play the game. If you aren’t playing with all your heart, someone else is, and when you meet them, they will win at the end of that ninety minutes. From then on, I played on several different teams. Now, though I do not play for any team, I always find myself in a pickup game. After years of playing, I can now reflect on how it impacted my life. I learned to become more of a team player. Although that word can be a cliché, it does symbolizes accountability, willing to share and teamwork. It taught me to push myself even when I feel like giving up. Soccer itself have values that I attribute to my daily life. That is why there will always be a special place in my heart for the love of the game.

After reading the article, I finally realize what it really takes to come out with a good quality work. When writing an essay I usually state how I am going to attack a specific topic instead of brainstorming my ideas down. To me writing has always been a way of finding the right words to put together aiming at your topic. I have never been happy with my first draft and knowing that successful writers like Anne Lamott don’t like her first draft is very comforting. I used to feel like writing is a natural skills but the way Anne Lamott describes writing, it appears like anyone willing to put their time and effort can become a good writer. I think having me read this article will benefit my writing skills because I now known your first draft is your trial and error.
