Our only common language was a smile. They welcomed us into their community and cooked us traditional meals. After spending the day at the local school, we wandered through the streets of the Lawa Hilltribe Village in northern Thailand. It was a mutually foreign and rewarding experience for both the locals and us travellers. These are the moments that change your life.
