I’d like to appreciate these to panels from The Web of Black Widow.
The first is from issue 4 with Clint. Previously, a clone of Natasha killed a bunch of people. Natasha says it wasn’t her, and Clint doesn’t believe her, saying that he knows her and they have a history.
The second panel is from issue 2 with Bucky. For the same incident, Bucky automatically believes her.
And he doesn’t directly say it, but it’s because of their history. They both have their secrets, but they always trust each other. (Hint hint, the name of the Rose has some great buckynat)
As both a clintasha and buckynat fan, I just found this interesting.
SPOILER AHEAD:
Wasn’t it revealed that both incidents were planned though? That Natasha actually told Clint to shoot her for real and that Bucky and Nat met beforehand because she knew she was being watched? I didn’t buy it for a sec when Clint didn’t trust Natasha. It was convincing enough when he mentioned their history but also, they’re so far along their friendship now that even in NOTR he’d never buy anything that slandered her because he knew what she was like now, not before.
