She is screaming at David through the fucking curtain. She has a dildo next to her. She signed someone’s tit. She is wearing a “I am with Schmoopie” shirt with an arrow directed at David Duchovny’s booth with a picture of them printed in the back. She took off her blazer right as David got into said booth. She is coordinating her attacks quite well if I may add. I’m pretty sure she has someone recording all of this with her phone and it’s only been an hour. I am exhausted. Someone tell Gillian to calm down. She is single handedly trying to get David on board to expose them through matching shirts. I know it.

Hey, guys! First I’d like to say thank you to everyone who writes stories about Mulder, Scully, The X-Files, and everything having to do with that universe. You guys have brought me deeper into this world over the last year and I’m grateful to you. It takes such determination and guts to put writing out into the world and I encourage you to keep doing so. Comment on, like, and share writing that is important to you. Give writers feedback. They deserve it!

Below is a list of some (like, a VERY SMALL PORTION) of the stories I have loved discovering over the last 12 or so months. Feel free to add your own suggestions. :)

Novel-Length:

-Secret World, City of Light, Mercy Seat, and The Lost Land by Bonetree - I didn’t stop until I finished all of the stories in this universe. I couldn’t get enough and had a little mourning period when it ended. Mercy Seat is a little different than the others, but they’re all fantastic.

-Amish Country by Lolabeegood - Mulder and Scully go undercover in Amish country to catch a serial rapist. I love love love this story and could not put it down.

-Quis Si by Trixie - an AU (sort of) of a glimpse into a life Mulder could have had, had Samantha never been abducted. Currently my favorite story ever.

Not Novel-Length:

-It’s Too Hot by SJ aka geekmom7 as I still lovingly think of her/beyondtherealmofscience7 - I had to choose this one out of all the ones I love of SJ’s because it came out of a conversation we had, so it has a special place in my heart. Takes place in the unremarkable house.

Tupelo Honey by @2momsmakearight - Mulder and Scully reconnect during this season 10-era story. This one was perhaps my favorite ‘reconnecting story’ from the revival. Absolutely beautiful, took its time, and was incredibly sweet.

A Thousand Panes of Glass by @dashakay - this story is unfinished but I still had to include it. It deals with ‘another impossible miracle.’ Read it.

Cocoa Cookies by @icedteainthebag - Okay, well Adrian writes such. good. smut. So I picked one that looks like it needs more people to read it. This one is hot, and fun because it’s established MSR. Oh and there are cookies. Yum.

Family 101, Wide Open by @leiascully  really, you should just go and read all of the stories. All of them. But here are some I thought I’d mention that aren’t necessarily the most famous but are ones I love.

Future Expectations and Therapeutic Confessions by @pen-paper-aliens - Okay so Walaa has written some amazing stuff, and also some amazing stuff for me. She also gives me the angst and I love her for it. I think I came up with the title for the first one I linked above, and the second one links to part II, but definitely start with part I if you can find it.

The Physics of Strength by @scienceandmysticism - this is just a really beautiful story by a really beautiful writer. Go forth and read all the things.

Xs and Os and Christening by @h0ldthiscat - I swear, every time I see she has posted a new piece of writing I get so excited. I love everything she has written so please dedicate some time to reading her stuff if you haven’t. (I mean, every prompt from the ‘slightly nsfw ask meme’ killed me). You slay, girl.

Chopsticks by @somekindofseizure - it was incredibly hard to pick one story to recommend because there are so many amazing ones (and so much amazing smut as well) but this is one I’ve come back to quite a few times, so this one it must be.

Five Wishes by @firstofoctober - It was so much fun to beta this story and I love the premise of this fic. It involves Will and takes place post-season 10.

Resolutions by @alloutforthewar - post-millennium, which, come on, how can you not love that?

Sweat & Margaritas by @anonstarbuck - Oh Mary, how I love thee. I know this is a popular story, but I just had to choose it. It’s so hot and so good. But also make sure to read everything else Mary has written!

The Sixth Church and Impossible Delilah by @aloysiavirgata - The first story is a ‘home again’ story and I could read it over and over again all day long. The second is set after Bad Blood. Miss Virgata is an artful creator and honestly everything she has written is wonderful and a treat.

Navigating Fate by @campaignofmisinformation - This story has to do with William and Halloween and please read it or you’ll be missing out. 

The Porch Swing by @piecesofscully - mhmm mhmm. I think you know what this story is about.

Sneaking into Bed by @noifsandsorbees - This story and its sequel just make me really happy. Mulder and Scully having to sneak around (and being willing to sneak around) is glorious.

Yearning by Donnilee - Donnilee is obviously famous in this fandom, but this is one of my favorite stories of hers. Very emotional.
