perfection is BORING (proved by my almost immediate disinterest in royal betrothal). i don't know why so many drama fans want flat, flavorless characters encountering nothing but smooth sailing and constant wins. but also, i'm not sure they do? it's hard for me to find but from what i can tell, a lot of the most-watched dramas of the last few years are ones that i would consider to feature messy and imperfect characters--dramas like lost you forever and til the end of the moon on the idol side, joy of life and gritty crime dramas on the prestige end. and yet studios keep putting out these half-assed, watered-down stories. stop it! i'm boooooored! be brave and give us more chaos and interest like overdo!
