Dimensional Allies| Frigga & Clea
The All Mother seemed to take notice of her discomfort, drawing in the curtains just enough to block out the intense rays of early morning sunlight. Clea nodded in acknowledgement, grateful for the Aesirâs courtesy, and repositioned herself so that the shadows of the cavernous room fell more comfortably on her face. It was almost brighter on Asgard than it was on Earth, though that was most likely due to the reflective nature of their building materials. Still, it was a little disorienting, after spending almost two straight months in the Dark Dimension.
She silently wondered how Rahl was doing, seeing how this was his first time leaving their home world. Probably not well. Her first days on Earth had given her a migraine so brutal that it almost made facing her enraged uncle seem like the more reasonable option. Â But he was strong, strong enough to be considered her greatest ally amongst the thousands that followed her. Rahl would be fine, as long as he got some well-deserved rest once they returned home. For now, she had more pressing matters to attend to.
âMy journey to Asgard goes far beyond something as simple as a renewal. Â Dormammuâs reign of terror has ended, and I have claimed my birthright as true ruler of the Dark Dimension. That wretched creature holds no power in my court, nor will he have any say in my political arrangements. I have come here to forge an entirely new alliance, free of the bloodied past of my homeland.â Clea explained, watching as the All Mother rose to her feet and moved towards her. Â âThe drawing room would certainly be the most suitable location, I agree.â
With the Mindless Ones constantly threatening to break through the barrier that protected their borders, the sorceress certainly understood why Odin had been called away. Â âThreats against the Dark Dimension do not coincide with my schedule, nor would I expect them to do so for the All Father. Â No offense has been taken, I would be happy to wait with you until your husband returns.â
Clea followed Frigga out of the room, waving for Rahl to follow behind them. Â Trying the food in other dimensions was usually an odd experience, and not one she was particularly interested in at the moment. âSnacks will be fine,â the sorceress replied simply.
âIf you donât mind me asking, what sort of enchantment do you have on your bracer?â the item radiated magic from its very core, but she was not familiar enough with Asgardian mages  to pinpoint what kind.
Frigga smiled her approval at the womanâs words, nodding her head along. âI thought I had heard stirrings of power exchange going on, but my husband often urges me to stay out of such things.â She chuckled. âI did not really approve of the agreement in the first place due to my dislike of him, but I understood why our king made the agreement he did.â Peace was important, especially since the battle with the dark elves still burned in the eldersâ eyes. It was better to have even if the politics of the others were questionable.
Something her sons did not agree with.
âI shall guide you there.â Her hands made a settling motions at the guards that moved from their stationary position to follow. They were simply going to the drawing room and it made Asgard seem more peaceful if she did not have them follow. âCould you please go alert the medical team to be ready for when our king and brothers return?â She smiled reassuringly at their nervous looks before shooing them with a flick of her hand. Odin could yell at her later, he would know she had sent them on their way. âI am glad to hear that then. Come, this way.â
Frigga walked slightly in front of Clea, not enough to imply her being lesser but enough to guide. Politics wereâŚtiring to say the least. Often times it was a clever trick of body language and sweet words. Loki and Fandral had often been sent to entertain guest for that exact reason. She carefully whispered a spell that would send a note to the kitchen for snacks. One of the servers would bring them up when they were ready. Fruits, cheese, and crackers would suit this occasion. And a spot of tea could never go wrong when trying to sooth nerves.
âAhh, I must admit I am surprised you can feel that. You must be a very powerful wielder for the spell is very simple in its creation.â The amount of magic required was practically nonexistent, it had taken Loki forever to be able to detect such a thing. âIt is a simple detector.â She carefully held out her wrist, pausing in front of the study doors. âOur King is mighty and wise, as is required of the All-Father but that does not mean I like to let him into battle. Since I am not allowed to join him on the battlefield due to my position this is how I keep track of him.â Frigga laughed quietly. âIt allows me to make sure he is alive and gives me clues to whether or not I need to send reinforcements to him in order to make sure he stays that way.â She shook her head. âA simple trick for comfort and security.â
Perhaps she could teach Clea how to perform such a trick if their alliance went well. It would be so nice to share tips and tricks with someone again.
