adding to this more. jimmy starts to catch on when they suddenly are hooking up almost every night and the things lister want grow increasingly concerning. like it's nothing that couldn't be done if they had a proper talk about it and set boundaries right, but its lister so that doesn't happen. it becomes pretty obvious that these are less things lister actually enjoys and are things he would let jimmy do so he can stay interesting. like lister is convinced if he doesn't conform to every persons sexual expectations of him then he's boring and they'll leave. so it becomes a bigger issue when he's with jimmy because well, it's the guy he's been in love with for years.
