Act I: The Awakening & The Mystery (Incorportating Eras 1 & 3)
Goal: Establish the present-day panic of the Six, while starting the historical backstory of Sabis’s secret.
Chapter 1 (Present - The Catalyst):
POV: Damon or another sibling.
Claire is found dead in her dormancy sanctuary. The remaining five siblings wake up prematurely. Panic and grief consume them. They realize they are being hunted, but they don't know by whom. Damon decides they must try to summon their long-absent creator, Sabis, for protection.
Chapter 2 (Flashback - The Age of Genesis):
The creation of the Six. Establish his love for them, but quickly introduce his horror upon realizing their insatiable hunger and their "gilded captivity" of the humans. Show him hiding this from Ramun out of deep shame, and stepping away after the uncorrupted next generation is born, hoping the secret stays buried.
The Six perform the ritual to summon Sabis. The tension is high. Sabis actually manifests. He has to look at his terrified children, mask his guilt, and play the role of the distant, stoic father. He promises to look into Claire’s death, buying himself time.
Act II: The Divide & The Discovery (Incorporating Era 2)
Goal: The hunt intensifies in the present, while the flashback reveals how Ramun found out and forced Sabis’s hand.
Chapter 4 (Flashback - The Great Quarantine):
Centuries have passed. Ramun accidentally discovers the hidden Six and the human captivity. The emotional explosion between her and Sabis. She is deeply hurt by his centuries-long lie. She gives him the ultimatum: Your creations are a mockery of peace. Fix this.
Chapter 5 (Present - The Convergence):
The siblings are splitting up or fortifying their positions, trying to figure out how Claire was killed. Despite their heightened security, the Second Sibling is quietly assassinated in their sleep. Paranoia reaches a fever pitch. They start suspecting each other.
Chapter 6 (Flashback - The Pact):
Sabis and Ramun realize they cannot defeat the Six in an open fight. Ramun, cold and demanding, helps Sabis plan the stealth assassinations during the sleep cycles. Sabis accepts this as his agonizing penance to win back her trust.
Act III: The Breaking Point (The Turning Point)
Goal: The emotional climax of Sabis and Ramun's relationship.
The Third Sibling is killed. The remaining three siblings are completely unraveled, living in a nightmare of fear.
Chapter 8 (Behind the Scenes / Present):
Sabis returns to their hidden sanctuary after executing the third sibling. He doesn't say a word. He is physically and emotionally hollow—a shell of a god, crushed by the weight of killing three of his children and the burning shame of his past.
Ramun looks at him, and her cold, demanding exterior finally breaks. She realizes this is destroying his soul. For the first time in centuries, she holds him, comforting him in the dark. Their dynamic shifts from judge-and-executioner to two weary, trauma-bonded co-conspirators.
Act IV: The Endgame (The Collision of Timelines)
Goal: The remaining siblings find out the truth, leading to a tragic final confrontation.
Damon or the remaining survivors find a clue left behind at the third murder scene. The horrifying realization clicks: It’s not an outside monster. It’s our father. The grief turns into absolute, defensive fury.
Chapter 10 (Present - The Final Confrontation):
The remaining Six trap Sabis (and perhaps Ramun) when he comes for the fourth strike. The truth is laid bare. The Six defend their "gilded cages" as a peaceful paradise for humans, while Sabis and Ramun fight for true freedom and to erase their divine mistake.
In the final confrontation, the quiet assassinations fail. It becomes a desperate, violent clash.
Sabis is mortally wounded by the furious survivors.
With his remaining strength, Sabis manages to kill the other siblings and Damon's mate right in front of him.
Damon is beaten, broken, and completely devastated by the loss of his mate and family. Sabis, dying and unable to bring himself to strike down his very last son, uses his fading divine power to force Damon into an unbreakable, eternal sleep—essentially burying him alive in a tomb of stasis.
To make your sequel work, Ramun must die here too. If she lives, you are exactly right: her fierce morality would protect the original humans, and her advanced alien tech/knowledge would keep the world tightly managed.
Instead, imagine Ramun trying to protect Sabis during the ambush and being killed by one of the Six. This drives Sabis into a blind, grief-fueled rage where he wipes out the rest of the siblings. By the time the dust settles, both creators are dead. The old gods are gone. The world is left entirely to its own devices, with no one left at the steering wheel.
The Sequel: Eons in the Future
Because the creators died, the world evolved with zero supervision. Centuries or eons pass, and Damon’s forced sleep finally breaks. He wakes up to a world that is a complete inversion of what his parents wanted.
