I completely understand where you’re coming from, I too have dealt with that in various aspects of my life either with family or friends that I held dear and bent over backwards being there for them and helping them through their hardest times. All of that just to be thrown aside for other people and your efforts to never be appreciated. It’s an awful feeling especially because you do things out of the kindness of your heart and don’t even expect anything in return, and people just take your kindness for granted
