what's cooler than a foster having a huge emergency vet bill? two fosters having two emergencies back to back of course :-)
in just the last two weeks, we had several massive vet bills with two of our fosters here at the rescue.
august had to be rushed to our emergency clinic when his blood sugar dropped and he became extremely lethargic out of nowhere -- we're still trying to figure out what's up with his tiny body (he's three pounds and almost a year old!) and tests have been super inconclusive so far. he's recovered from this but it was just a little over a week ago! this wouldn't have been so brutal if it was just one kitty.
after discovering some lumps on lil floof's belly just last monday and jumping to get them tested, it turned out to be mammary cancer and she needed an immediate mastectomy for removal. we don't know how far it's spread, but it hasn't effected her health yet, so fingers crossed we've caught it early. she's just gone to surgery today!
between all the testing, hospital care, and surgery, we're looking accumulatively at over $7000 in vet bills for our rescue in just the last two weeks.
we are so, so strapped over here, ya'll. we cover these bills with support on the shop and donations and having these two massive emergencies back to back hit us super hard. our rescue currently has over 35 cats and kittens we're caring for between different foster homes!
we're running a gofundme to help cover these bills. you guys make us able to keep these kitties happy and healthy -- both august & lil floof came from dire situations and have made such incredible journeys with us in foster care. there are more ways to donate in the go fund me bio!
we are currently at $1910 / $7270 and we have another foster with UTI symptoms going to the vet tomorrow 🥲 please share — even $1 per follower would get us to our goal
i lost my soulmate cat yesterday. i’m glad it got to be peaceful after three months of hell from an aggressive cancer, but man is it hard to be home without her. i couldn’t sleep.

"Oh I only use it so I can figure out what to make during the week with what I have"
The most popular website as you type in "recipes" into google have sections where you click dinner- quick and easy and those usually rely on staples + 1 or 2 items. I found 30 recipes on chicken alone.
"I had a writing idea, so I typed a few sentences into Chat GPT and I was able to write 20 pages with it."

i’m assuming people’s issues with the music in supergirl are not to do with the instrumental ost because i’m listening to it now (separately from the movie to give it a fair listen), and i really think claudia sarne did such a nice job with a lot of the choices she made in composing it. a lot of them give such a really great unearthly vibe.
