Rogier felt something wrong in the Hold. He shambled from the balcony and followed the feeling of unease. There he saw the two most important people in his life in front of him, one of them a killer and the other one killed.
"Darian!" The thorns that have been eating away at Rogier were now consuming his old partner. He shuffled into the room towards the two of them. Fia vanished before he could say anything to her, having already taken what she needed from the two of them.
"Darian..." Rogier collapsed next to him. Flies crawled out of the eye sockets of the golden helm and buzzed around his ears. All Rogier ever wanted was to save people; he was willing to be a sacrifice if it meant ushering in a new age. But would he still have done it if he knew Darian would be sacrificed as well?
The only thing Rogier could do now is be at D's side until sleep overcomes him. In the end, they both would become the very thing they sought to venerate, creatures longing for absolution under the rays of the Golden Order.

Question 5: What do you think they do for fun? How do they chill out?
Well, besides eachother... I think D is the type to actually struggle with chilling out. Maybe he just overworks himself until he crashes. He might even sleep sitting up, you'd never know under his mask! Or maybe his idea of chilling out is taking care of his brother.
Rogier is probably one to chill out too much, chronic procastination and easily distracted. Also a major flirt when he gets the chance. But he probably likes to do a bit of sight seeing in the less war-torn parts of TLB and enjoys being alone the most, that's where he gets to be his full self.
Question 6: Do you have any AUs for them?
Honestly, it's hard to picture most ER characters outside of the game, but it is fun to imagine what they would be like in different souls games. What covenants would they join, who would they get along with, etc. Rogier might really like the Sable Church with it's relationship with hollows and I could see D being a Blade of the Darkmoon.

"There you are, old friend!" Rogier beamed but D was not pleased. Rogier had been finding more and more excuses to skip out on weeding deathroot. Rogier thought it could keep D fulfilled while he keeps his hands clean.
"Who are you fooling?" D cut through the act. "Are you going to tell me why you have been avoiding me yet?" Rogier's smile lessened but was still present.
"That's a roundabout way of saying you missed me." He deflected, the same way he always does. D had nothing more to say; what else could someone say to someone who refuses to be honest.
It got quiet between them. Rogier couldn't look D in the eyes. One of them was always bound to say something but it was only a matter of time before a bit of silence turned into something left unbroken.
Question 3: Do you have a favorite thing about their dynamic?
I love how they compliment eachother in their personalities. They are both guarded in their own ways. D acts all stern but clearly is very kind and caring. Rogier acts all bubbly and friendly but keeps a lot of his real feelings close to the chest. They both break eachother guards, making eachother better people in some ways, worse people in other ways.
