I mean, at the end of the day it’s the authors fanfic, they can write whatever they want, plus this last few years (and by that I mean barely 2/3 years) this has started to become less of a problem, and now that I’m older I simply write my own or read from the same 6 accounts that are still alive to this day.

However, i still remember when i was 13 reading x y/n fanfics while being part of small fandoms like nanbaka and oh god all the fanfics i used to stumble upon would describe the reader: pale, short, white hair… Like that’s not me, that’s just Ava Johnson from West Virginia!
