It was honestly the best time of my life.  I would love to do it all over again.  All of it was gorgeous but I have to say my year in Copenhagen was a complete highlight, and where I got inspired for most of my book.  I’m pretty sure you could do just as well if not even better than the naked cowboy with a guitar. 

Ugh, nevermind, I don't want to hear about it anymore because I'm just going to keep being envious of you. I can't even imagine how gorgeous it was. Yeah? You're gonna have to lend me a copy of said book then, I've been needing something worthwhile to do in my spare time anyway. Let's just file that as a last resort, a very last resort.

I’ll never understand how teenagers can afford a place in New York. 

I know, right? When I was a teenager I was sitting on my couch watching way too many episodes of SVU, nowhere near earning enough money to support myself.

I’ve been there for sure.  My first book was inspired by me traveling through Europe for a few years.  Well New York seems to be the perfect for that.  There are always really interesting and sometimes bizarre ways to earn money.  

I may or may not be incredibly jealous that you got to travel through Europe for a few years. What was your favorite part? It certainly has a lot to offer, I'll give it that much. Ha, bizarre is a good way to put it. If that guy can make money walking around with just his underwear and a guitar then I'm sure I can, too.

That sounds like it might be particularly loud.

Loud, obnoxious, excruciating, you pick. It's all of the above.

That teenage neighbors are never a good idea.

I guess you could say that though I’d prefer if I weren’t struggling at the moment.  I definitely am there are so many vibrant people here it’s really refreshing.  What do you do?

Wouldn't we all though? I feel like this is one of those times where you're supposed to do something crazy then, find something to write about...can you tell that's not my specialty? Uh, I'm in between jobs at the moment, doing a little bit of everything to earn my keep.

Why?

Just that I'm really not that interesting of a person to get to know.

What happened?

Just idiotic teenagers, the usual.

I am.  Luckily I consider it my full time job, but I’ve been kind of struggling for material lately, but it’s slowly coming together. 

Oh so you play the whole struggling artist thing, I see how it is. No but really, I give you credit because I would never be creative enough to be able to do something like that for a living. I guess the LES can be inspiring if you're looking at it that way..?

Sounds like you may or may not be living on the set of a reality tv show.  My weekend was pretty good! I caught some fireworks from the top of my building and got a little bit of writing done, so I really can’t complain at all.  I hope your next one is better though. 

Which clearly means no sleep on top of everything else. At least someone enjoyed it, then! That's awesome, are you a writer then or do you just do it in your spare time? For my sanity, I hope so as well.

Mmm, so that's debatable. At least you could take her out to the fireworks displays?

That’s ridiculous.  I’m sorry.  They could have gone outside and looked in any direction and seen fireworks there were so many going on no need to almost light your whole building on fire.

That was exactly my point, too! And then they could have avoided the whole screaming match with the neighbors scenario that I thought only happened on television shows. Anyway, how was your weekend?

Not even a little bit. I had to work. 

Where do you work? That's the determining factor in whether or not yours was worse than mine.
