Part of my work when I lived in Jerusalem was working with a team of Palestinian mappers to record their historic homes, street names and communities using open source mapping technologies. This in depth experience with maps made me realize how powerful visualizing our place is in the world. This tiny street graffito (yes! graffiti is one and graffiti is many) is an attempt for someone to personalize the city and to empower themselves to belong publicly.
