a lovely man who got stuck in Greenhorne after King Reggie started taking food from people and took away the opportunity to leave Greenhorne. he became Emma's interlocutor because she accidentally bumped into him.

Emma talked to him only when possible - sometimes Emma had to look for him, because he walks around Greenhorne in the hope that he will figure out how to escape.

usually, Emma only talked to him about life, events and other things, but then this healer told her about himself:

his name is Melvin. he used to have a wife and three children. when it all started, he managed to evacuate his family from Greenhorn, but he did not have time. now he is waiting for a miracle to happen and he will be able to leave here and return to his family.

Emma saw him only 2 months. last time when she met Melvin, he told her that his stomach hurting a little and he will "leave this place to find some medicine". Melvin gave her a photo of himself and his family to save it. after that, Emma never saw her again.

(If your a bit confused Billy, Marianne, Mona and Anna are all cousins but Mona and Anna are fraternal twins)
