Overwatch: Origins vs Paladins
Overwatch: Origins Edition vs Paladins: Champions of the realm ~ My PS4 experience
Overwatch: Origins Edition vs Paladins
This is my debut post, first time ever writing on a blog, which I personally find the nowadays equivalent of a newspaper!
I will be talking my personal experiences in the geek industry, culture and events.
Pleased to meet thou, fellow reader and gamer!
I have been an top mondial player in Overwatch, maining Tracer, during first months since the release of the game and I enjoyed myself playing with the little decoy, speed of lightning walking human bolt (Cheers love!).
With few other characters which I found the most suitable for my self back then, such as Reaper, Widowmaker, Lucio, etc.
Unlike OW, where Blizzard released both PS$ and PC versions at the same time, in the beginnings Palladins presented only the website version of the game, a top pick for a gamer that wouldnât wanna spend some extra money on a PlayStation+ account (excepting the fees of the game itself!)
I do believe the Palladins developers outgrew themselves in replicating the Overwatch project.
Yet letâs look a little deeper into the game itself.
Many friends of mine were making such a big fuss about this online MMORPG I personally had no idea about, and I really wanted to get into the jam of my friend group, so I asked shyly if I should tag along so we could play in a group.
(I was always the solo sharp shooter, we usually group Skype called each other in middle school, everybody playing a team game and me, the loner, playing a complete different game)
and one of my buddies asked smiling âWhy would you wanna join Palladins?
Ainât you playing Overwatch already?â and then he explained to me itâs basically the same thing, just with few different particularities between the Blizzard entertainment and Hi-Rez Studios.
I couldnât pick for you, dear fellow gamer!
Iâm just going to talk you out of my point of view.
I have been a fan of the Blizzard games since an early age, and when I got my hands on a copy of this masterpiece I just had to out rate myself in every way playing it!
I really loved the graphics and the backstory of every character, how well itâs linked to the characterâs ultimate, the unique individual side of the game itself and how they managed to link super heroes with completely different abilities into a well equilibrated, nice split team.
I do believe in the metamorphic character of one single match, the experience being completely personalized by the 6 vs 6 players choices.
I played hundreds of hours straight, biggest row was of 4 days and a half without sleeping, I binge gamed the magic of the game until I had every corner of every map completely memorized by heart.
On a more technical point of view, I really enjoyed myself helped by the PS platform.
I never really was a fan of PC gaming, so just holding the DUALSHOCK controller kind of completed the whole gaming experience, feeling like aiming a real weapon.
I always picked my gaming laptop for the 8bit kind of RPGS, or maybe one or two MMORPGS.
I had a bad experience with my old i7 buddy during Hitman, so I never played shooters on my pc again.
Letâs not mention the oldschool times of Counter Strike 1.6 on a dinosaur type of PC haha.
The experience of Overwatch I found complete.
Yet, later on the free franchise of Palladins developed into what Overwatch was from the very beginning, so I donât really see the point of arguing.
Iâm sticking with the version that I paid for when it was launched, Iâm a pretty simple consumer.
You on the other hand should only be checking what your pocket thinks its best!
Have the most wonderful time playing!
