my mom hates dealing with our extended family on facebook because everyone annoys her but she loves being apart of her conspiracy theorist facebook groups so she decided to delete her facebook and make a new one to rejoin her groups, but the funniest part is that she changed her name and everything 😩!! People are surprised I’m a coffee-drinking, neo-soul, A Tribe Called Quest loving, artsy black girl who likes things the average black person is not into. Yet I still don’t judge other people’s interests, tastes in music and utilize classist respectability politics. I’m an introvert who likes the things I like because that’s who I am. I’m not a fake-introvert to be bougie or judge the “hoes” and “ratchets.” I like trap music and look up to women like Blac Chyna and Amber Rose. I think IG models are awesome for making a platform of their talent and photogenic personality. I like all kinds of things but people think because I’m “not like those other black girls,” I should shame the “other black girls” and call certain rappers trash based off respectability politics.

Couldn’t have said it better myself, I am glad that there are other black women out there who feel this way.

I know I've said this before but I fuck with my black people. We out here shining, loving each other, laughing and all that. With all the problems we face everyday know I still believe in us. Stay up skinfolk
