Totally random but I’m just realizing that Jenna is the same actress who plays Freya on The Originals lol.
Roswell 2 7
This is a good episode. I like how it develops the story more than the last episode. I’m curious about what the writers want to do with the abilities of Maria.
Roswell Season 2 ep.7
I liked this episode overall. My biggest take away was seeing and meeting Liz’s mother.

Roswell Season 2 Ep 7
Helena Ortecho’s return was emotional and frustrating. I can completely sympathize with Liz and her family’s disappointment at Helena’s absence. Still, Rosa’s personal struggles can be overwhelming at times, such as when she took the pills. The reveal about Maria’s powers was very interesting. I feel bad that Mimi’s struggles can be traced to the studies on her mother (if I am understanding this correctly), but am curious to see how Maria and Michael’s relationship develops with this news.
rnm 2 7
Finally get to see Liz’s mother. I really like the acting in this episode. I could feel Liz and her father’s ambivalent feelings about Helena’s return. How can Helena just show up like that and act as if nothing happened after she left for decade? When Helena gave the sneakers to Liz I was really touched, but then she steals from the cashier, which make me feel disgusted. Gotta say the director really depict Helena’s character comprehensively within this episode.
Roswell S2E7
Really looking forward to learning more about what happened during Max’s childhood and the experiments that were done on Maria’s family. I didn’t like Helena at all and I’m glad she’s gone. It was definitely necessary to bring her in for an episode to fill in some holes in Rosa and Liz’s childhood.
Roswell 2.7
I am excited to see the characters explore their pasts and look more into what happened at Caulfield. I also like how they incorporated real history into the story. Historically, African-American people like Henrietta Lacks, who they mentioned, have been tested on without compensation, which is very unjust.
Roswell 2X7
I loved this episode because the acting was so raw when Liz’s mom, Helena, came back. That scene was the climax of the show and I really felt Mr.Orteco Liz and Rosa’s pain in those scenes. Also I’m not surprised Rosa went and took her mother’s pills. Rosa’s character is starting to get a little to static for my taste. I wanna know more about her than just “I’m a screw up”.

Episode title ?
Does anyone know what episode Michael calls his relationship with Alex as “Cosmic” ?
Roswell New Mexico S2 E6
Oops, forgot to post this earlier this week.
I really enjoyed watching the episode with everyone at the same time. I think being able to use the chat function and all communicate our thoughts made the show more engaging, so it gave me a bit more insight into how fandoms engage with each other in the digital age of media. While there’s nothing like watching it in person and everyone feeling the same vibe in the room, it was still really fun.
As for the episode, I kind of don’t know how to process everything that happened because I don’t think anyone could’ve predicted all that. I’m sorta annoyed at how quickly and easily Max was recovered, it felt like they were leading up to this big evil max storyline that would set the rest of the season... but it was so anticlimactic. Now him and Liz get their happy ending, but obviously that’s too good to be true so I wonder what will further go wrong in their relationship.
There’s a lot to unpack with the Kyle & Isobel scènes but I’ll just say that I think they’re kind of an odd pairing since I can’t remember if they’ve ever even spoken to each other on the show. They seem like the two most distant characters in the show, which makes it even more interesting for them to be together. Tho I would love to see isobel explore her bi side and maybe even Kyle cuz he was in a gay bar lol.
That threesome scene... straight out of a fan fiction. Despite carina seemingly wanting this scene to be an emotional moment between the three that causes a messy chaotic situation in the future, I didn’t interpret the scene as emotional in a romantic way, but rather a “we almost died” emotional way. I think it was irresponsible for Michael to live this fantasy of hooking up with Alex and Maria together because there’s no way this ends up working out, and someone is seriously going to get hurt. On that note, I think it was interesting that Alex is the one who said it was a fantasy to sleep with his best friend and his crush because that sounds like something that Michael should be saying in this scene. Although I don’t like this scene because of the messiness and irresponsibility, I do like how it opens up a conversation on mainstream TV about sexuality being more fluid and less binary.
I know that Maria was the OG ship with Michael in the original book and series and that her moms mystery is also her storyline, but I do think it’s unfortunate that Maria seems to fail the bechdel test bc I see her main storyline as being part of michaels love triangle. Though, I think Michael & Alex are endgame, so hopefully this isn’t a waste of Maria’s time and potential in terms of character and story development.
This episode just felt like someone was high when writing it because it’s so bizarre and weird with the genre-bending and experimentation. It felt like a break from the main alien mystery storyline of the series and I think I prefer the mystery of the aliens more than the mystery of what the heck is gonna happen with all these relationships in the future.
Episode 6 reaction
Yes, this past episode was strange and all of the place but I also feel like there’s more about this episode that should be focused on. The scene with Michael, Alex, and Maria was very much unexpected but it also made me remember the conversation we had in class about labelling LGBTQ characters. We talked about how LGBTQ people wanted that label for people like them on TV but also, some people didn’t care much about labels because characters are more than what they are defined as. We know Alex is gay but because he’s gay does not make him tied to that label. If he wants to have a threesome or be bisexual for a little bit, then that’s what it is and it doesn’t make him not gay like someone stated in the Instagram comments. Before this episode was aired, I read a fanfic about Michael, Alex, and Maria having a threesome and I thought it was the creepiest thing ever and something that would never happen. Seeing it happen in episode 6 was shocking because of Maria’s different relationship with Michael and Alex.
But after reading the comments from Carina, I see where the writers were coming from. But I definitely think they could have approached it better. From the beginning of episode 6, we see a sudden change in Maria and Alex’s relationship and they seemed closer than before. We found out they had a past, Alex was Maria’s first kiss, and that Alex wishes he could be with Maria (which resulted from his childhood experiences like Carina explained in the comments). All these were never addressed in the show and then all of a sudden, Maria and Alex move from being friends to having a threesome with Michael. If the writers started building this up in past episodes, then maybe people would have been more understanding of scenes like these.
RNM season 2, episode 6
I wonder if the twins in the beginning scene are aliens and if they have something to do with Jenna’s disappearance. Like, I believe that the crazy twin knew something about her. Also, why did the non-crazy twin demand that Alex and Maria leave. Like, what would have happened if they had stayed and questioned him more? I felt sort of bad for the non-crazy twin because it seemed as though he was a captive to his brother’s wrath.
Also, the Alex, Maria, and Michael love triangle really took me off guard. I was not expecting that. I couldn’t see it before until Dr. Fowler posted it noticing that it was actually Maria and Alex that initiated the sex. I never pictured a love like that between Maria and Alex. I always thought that they were best friends, but, then again, I did suspect something when Maria sat on his lap when he was breaking into her mom’s computer. Does this make Alex bisexual now, or, as Michael put it, he just wanted a moment where he felt loved? I wonder if he is going to start a new relationship with the Michael replacement or continue to have a relationship with Maria and Michael.
As for the Liz and Max story, it just made me not like Liz even more. The first thing she could’ve said to Max when he came back to life was “I love you,” but instead they just got drunk in a field telling him her sober thoughts and then having sex with him on the rooftop of the diner. And then after all that she thinks it’s a good time to tell him that she loves him. Also, where is Rosa in all of this?
Roswell episode 6
Dr. Fowler’s posts about “the” scene from Season 2, episode 6 does put a lot of things into perspective. Initially, I, like many others, was uncomfortable with how things played out between Michael, Alex, and Maria. However, with this potentially being the end of Michael and Alex and a start with Michael and Maria, it was an interesting and unique way to end a typical love triangle without one character merely being pushed to the sidelines. Rather, all of them still love each other no matter how their relationships may end up. I agree that it was still pretty messy but I am intrigued to see more of their reactions and where this plays out in terms of their relationships with each other. This scene also made me realize how truly fluid sexuality is. In the end, the LGBTQ+ terms we use are labels, and I do not think that sexuality is naturally structured in categories such as these; we just need these labels to better identify ourselves in society. However, calling yourself a gay man, as Alex does, does not mean he has to strictly stick with the idea of what society says being gay is. Excited to see how things continue to play out!
This one scene really overtook most of the episode, but in my opinion, I don’t really enjoy how easily Liz and Max came back together. It just seems too good to be true while Maria, Alex, and Michael were dealing with an actual axe murderer. The contrast between the two storylines in this episode almost felt out of place to be in an episode together. The episode dealt a lot with relationship development, even with Isobel and Kyle. It is interesting that, thinking back, I have never seen Isobel and Kyle interacting very much together, so seeing the possibility of them together was really cool, and something I would personally like to see. However, I do understand Kyle’s attraction to Stephanie(?) the dean’s daughter. I think I would be content with however Kyle and Isobel’s relationships go, either with each other or separately. I just enjoy seeing them interact with each other!

Michael, Maria, and Alex is quite something. When Michael and Maria smooch in front of Alex, I felt my stomach drop a little bit just because I was shocked she would do that after telling Alex she cares about him. But then she smooches Alex too out of nowhere so I am at a loss at this point: crazy stuff. This truly is a glorious love triangle.
On another note, I am also a big Max fan. So much of season one was bolstered by his presence, but his vibe has never changed even a single time. Max plays his persona well, but it never changes so I am starting to get tired of Max; probably why I wrote about Alex and Michael for paper 2. His “new memory” is enticing but we shall see what it entails.
Roswell S2 E6
I really loved watching Roswell as a class and seeing everyones reactions. I thought that was fun and made the show a lot more interesting.
I normally love watching Roswell but I don’t think this episode was my all time favorite. I think it was kinda weird how Max went from evil to then wanting to go on dates with Liz. I ship Kyle and Isobel together definitely because I feel like they have both gotten the short ends of the sticks when it comes to relationships. For some reason I feel if this works out then the Chief of surgeries daughter is going to get hurt by this because I think she has a crush on Kyle. There was just a lot of back and forth going on in this episode because they were trying to cover so much. I think that Michale, Maria and Alex hooking up had all of our jaws dropping because it wasn’t really something expected. At least I didn’t think so. I will say I enjoyed the horror aspect and the dark side of Max so I wish that was what the whole episode was like.
