omg another illustration!! this piece took me quite a while because i was working on it on-and-off, but i’m happy with how it turned out~~ nicholas and lou are so small they’re so cute awahwa i need to hug themmm… mama a brooklyn behind you!!

i didn’t have a clear idea on the colour scheme until after i finished the lineart (i usually block in my colours after the clean sketch), but i loveee the colours i love blues and purples <3

this illustration is unique because i made a 3d model for the background ooohhh!! i wanted to practise building a set—not only will it look cool in my portfolio, it’s also be a great asset (the siblings’ room) for the graphic novel. maybe i’ll create the euler’s entire home??

have i ever mentioned how their relationship makes me feel because GOSH they’ve been through a lot and they’re still sooo in love <3 breathes in deeply. sighs longingly.

instead of my usual illustration style, i went for a painterly vis dev style and it was a very enjoyable process!! glowstone beach is a beautiful place and i would love to visit a bioluminescent beach someday

i haven’t been drawing claire and bernard as much as i want to. in fact, i haven’t been drawing my ocs all that much,, i’ve been doing things though trust—like existing!! it’s been hard and it doesn’t seem to be getting easier but it’s okay i will try again. tomorrow is another day

the project was a bit more complicated than i anticipated. i wanted to work on it in just one procreate file, but there was a layer limit so i had to separate the animation and do compositing in an external software. the colours are a bit funky in davinci resolve—that’s why the colour grading for both the still and the animation is slightly different. the result isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty!! and i’m happy with it

am i neglecting my passion project? a little bit,, sorry… but i’ve been doing some aoc writing!! and other stuff!! i’m wayyy more active on instagram (i post bonus art and wips) so do follow me there if you’re interested <3 i don’t post a lot of my works on tumblr for some reason

BACK with another animation yayyy!! it’s been forever since i’ve done an animation meme/trend and oh my do i miss that— i’ve never tweened in toonsquid before actually, and the last time i tweened was during my gacha animation meme days which was a LONG time ago. also, i learnt how to colour grade in davinci resolve!! gotta love learning new things <3

i honestly wanted to do more this month but. it’s been a rollercoaster,, i had a few very miserable days, but they reminded me that my best isn’t behind me; it’s waiting for me. and once i’ve lived it out, it’ll wait for me again and again. honestly, i feel so aimless. i’m looking forward to the start of my college semester so i can finally feel some purpose again. i also can’t wait to graduate from college and move overseas. i know i’m being impatient… i should wait for everything to take its course

i’m not very good at pixel art but i think they turned out really cute~~ they’re inspired by stardew valley sprites <3 i made these because i was going fuse beading with a friend!! it was my first time doing it and i spent 3 hours on lou… had no time for nicholas

the title of this illustration is a line from the poem “six poems for tamar” by yehuda amichai (translated by stephen mitchell) it’s so tender and so them… “the crescent moon fits the line of your cheek” OUGHHH!! love poems are incredibly romantic <3 the song too!! john loves jazz and brooklyn learns to love it too because it reminds him of his boyfriend. “i wish for the rain” is mellow and melancholic, a song i’d imagine would be so lovely and soothing during a quiet, rainy night in a gloomy apartment

i lean towards cooler colours so it’s been a while since i made an overall warm-toned illustration. I LOVE IT THOUGH!! their relationship is warm, comforting, and simple… poor brooklyn his life is so hectic and stressful he deserves this

i’m sure pop mart needs no introduction!! their art toys are absolutely gorgeous ✨ and they inspired me to make one of my own <3 although it’s not the physical thing (yet)

i have some experience in 3d modelling, but not with zbrush. so, i’ve been learning the software while creating this toy for the past month (it’s so much fun actually hehe~~) i wanted to make one of nicholas too (they’re a pair, after all) but that was a bit too ambitious,, i’m too eager to begin my next project!!

i’m so happy with how my baby lou came out 🥹 especially considering i’m a newbie to both sculpting and zbrush. also the above piano cover of rises the moon is sooo beautifully haunting and perfect for aoc’s story 💕 DO listen to the song’s lyrics!! auggghhh i want to share the meaning and details of this toy BUT i can’t because it’s huge spoilers 😞 the struggles of having a passion project of this nature…

it’ll be really cool if i 3d printed this at a local library but in order to use the printers there, i have to attend a workshop blehhh,, i’ll most likely find the time to!! the thought of tangibly holding my oc is sooo emotionally rewarding… my baby… i’d honestly LOVE to make and sell aoc merch someday if it gets popular 🥺 a girl can dream

this illustration is commissioned by my friend @feiilau!! it’s his persona and billy from burn (the 2019 film) <3 i never do commissions but this was a special case (it’s kinda complicated),, i’m so happy to be done with this though!! can’t wait to draw my ocs hehe~~

i haven’t been posting for a while sorry… i’ve been feeling,, terrible. but i’m slowly getting out of my rut (still figuring things out)!! i’m getting back into making simple and silly drawings and it’s making me feel better so i’ll do more of that
