She sure did! In issue #22

I’ve never been good at confrontation. I know that much. I never liked that prickly feeling that I’d get from this unstable ground. Having another person shooting word after word while the other, stuck, trying to cough out a quick remark or shoot back with something equally as damaging. It was like this nuclear tennis match. Watching and waiting on the sidelines to see who would burn out first. I think, maybe I got it from you. The thing is, words matter. And I don’t own a bulletproof vest to block all the bullets you’ve been aiming in my direction.

No one can tell what goes on in between the person you were and the person you become. No one can chart that blue and lonely section of hell. There are no maps of the change. You just come out the other side. Or you don’t.

Even when I detach, I care. You can be separate from a thing and still care about it.

Soon you’ll realize that many people will love the idea of you but will lack the maturity to handle the reality of you.

I think Bo Burnham put it best

I want to talk about what happened without mentioning how much it hurt. There has to be a way. To care for the wounds without reopening them. To name the pain without inviting it back into me.
