If you had thought that it is useless to choose between the two options because what you are given is the choice between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, choose the Deep Blue Sea or you will ALWAYS be handed the Devil when the time to choose will be gone.

This will never be a 50-50 chance that you would get a better option out of the two. Evil knows how probability works and it will always make it work in its favour, unless YOU choose to work against it.

I'm not an American, and in my country there's a fascist at the helm, he would have gotten an absolute majority had the people not come out to vote. Technically we still do have a fascist at the helm, but he is a lot less powerful because he has to stay in a coalition government where he has to make compromises with his fascist ideas to stay in power, so currently he is not being a full-blown fascist.

An infectious disease doctor just laid out exactly what happens when you gut the agencies meant to protect us from Outbreaks.

Around the same time, cuts to screwworm prevention funding are being blamed for the pest's return to U.S. soil for the first time in decades, threatening livestock and the food supply.

This isn't abstract bureaucracy. These are the invisible systems that keep parasites, foodborne illness, and disease outbreaks from spiraling out of control. Gut them, and outbreaks stop being hypothetical.
