"Do you trust me?"

"That sounds painful."

"Are you even listening to yourself?"

"I’m not speaking to you anymore." 

"I can’t believe you missed that."

"That was a bad plan." 

"That looked easier on TV." 

"I’ve never heard that one before."

It was cold, wet, raining. She tried to relax, but she couldn’t. Something was irking her, back at the mind of the engineer. She tried to re-focus, looking over at the Admiralty Board work she had to complete within the next few days. She groaned, not wanting to do it. Instead of laying around, allowing laziness to overcome here, she looked outside at the pouring rain. 

"Yeah, I know I'm stupid, no need to say it. Some of us can't be walking computers." She squeezed water from her hair. "You okay there? You aren't going to short circuit or something, right?"

"Negative. The outer shell of this unit is completely waterproof"

"You lucky bastard."

She looked vaguely at the quarian that had approached them. 

"Subject 220-INPUT-S12 losing functionality. She requires electrical source of energy to drain. Scanning for source. 35 percent remaining." This had been the third or fourth geth she’s ever encountered, and she did not want to target the synthetic in front of her for an energy source. Not when something that looks similar to her is trying to even provide the assistance. 

Nahli’s emotive flaps rose upwards, the life-cord’s opening still illuminating red, although it began to dim. “Re-routing energy directive.” A few beeps and moments later, it restored to blue. For now, the hacker would be in the safe zone. 

"Estimated functionality duration: 2 hours." Her Programming managed to assort the issue, learning more about her wiring and build. "Geth. Synthetic…" The hacker begun to register Unit N-Q5. NAhli scanned each and every wiring of the geth, locking it down to where she could register every detail and capabilities of it. 

it was unfortunate that since her unit was never completed being modified, several errors kept running, unable to initially recognize that power needed to be recharged. “ERROR…Losing power. 45 percent remaining.” Whirled out of the voice speaker. Her sensory systems detected two individuals, one organic, another synthetic. 

The synthetic seemed similar to her physically, although both hers and its programming were completely different. The wiring was different. Although, the organic was impaired, in a wheelchair. 

"What is that? Do geth even lose power? Like batteries? Do you plug yourselves into something? Wait that does sound inappropiate..." she babbled, nervous. 

Nekus stood confused, trying to understand why the other geth's programming was so different to theirs, and why they couldn't access their network.

"Hey you, can you do anything? I'm no engineer." 

Nekus gave Alex a nod and approached the geth.

The light flickered over and over. It was shining so bright, to now an almost broken flashlight. The pink geth had recently had issues with her system and programming for some time now, although her repair system was unsure of what exactly was the issue. Was it because she was never completed? Was there a virus in her? The programming could not indicate what it was, but it starting to affect the geth unit. 

"Affirmative. Although-" Nekus kept silent for a few seconds and Alex gave them a strange look. 

"What?"

"It is geth. But it is different."

"Like what? Oh, okay, you know what? Just take me to it."

She pushed her wheelchair through the streets, following Nekus' lead, wondering what was this 'different' geth they had spoken about. Finally, they got to it and Alex regarded the pink synthetic a few meters form her. 

"It's pink" she muttered under her breath.

"I reccomend approaching with caution."

"Why, when has something pink hurt anything?" Nekus started to respond but she raised a hand. "It's okay, I was trying to be funny, don't ruin it." 

She got her wheelchair closer to the unknown geth and noticed the flickering light of the optic.
