first time riding a bike in the city
first time taking a bluebike
they don't seem to have gears or at least not good ones
get heckled by an older woman for walking the bike up a super steep hill
have to ride on the side of the highway
arrive at the dock right where i need to be and there's one space left and a guy on a bike right in front of it so i ask if i can dock but he says the dock is broken
slight panic because there are no other stations nearby and i'm already over the 30 minute window so i'm being charged by the minute
pull the pity card and tell him this is my first time on a bluebike and could i follow him to the next station
we bike a mile
it turns out he's like a bluebike pro and is trying to visit all 600 bluebike stations in boston
make it to the station and dock
i pay $9.85 for the pleasure of this hellish ride
have to run a mile back to where i wanted to go
