[ ☾ ] A hooded figure stepped out of the shadows, marble white skin glowing faintly beneath the moonlight. One step, then another,  he inched closer though his ears could easily catch the girl’s HEARTBEAT, the sound of her blood pumping through her veins maddening his hearing.
