                       She hated door knocking, she found it the most tedious part of being a cop but it had to be done. After a robbery call in the early hours of the morning in a Kirkwood apartment complex, Blair now had the task of rounding up info from the other residents. She banged on the door, waiting for the answer until the flash of pink hair jogged her memory of the girl who tried to get her to sit on roof tops with her. Lazily, she showed her badge her whole aura screaming that she didnât want to be there. âI just need to ask some questions, wonât take long. Were you home this morning between 3am and 4:30am? Please, just yes or no answers.â
 Living in a run down complex in Kirkwood meant visits from the cops for a whole manner of reasons had become normal. She nodded when the officer showed her badge but Allie recognized her from a rooftop escapade anyways. âI was home but I was asleep. I heard the crash of glass below me and it woke me up. It was nearly 4am, a hundred percent. Because I get up at 6 to go for a run. I didnât see anything, just heard it.â

 Allie hadnât seen Finn since they almost kissed at the masquerade ball and she spent most of her shifts at the coffee shop wondering if she had done something wrong; or where he was. Her green eyes settled on the familiar frame and widened when she saw Finn enter and reach the counter. âFinn! Where have you been? Are you alright?â Allie gasped slightly. âIâm sorry for scaring you off at the party.â

 âPip!â Allie waved her hand when she saw the brunette, popping out an earbud and trying to beckon her friend over to her coffee table. âI was just about to text you and ask if you wanted a coffee. The universe knew. Itâs fate.â she giggled and pointed to the seat opposite her. âHow are you doing? The dance school all good too?â

âHello there, Mama Edwards-Anderson.â Allie tip toed into the home, baring a gift bag and a congratulations balloon for the first-time mom. Inside the gift bag was a little Batman romper, hopefully BJ would remember their little joke on the rooftop. âHow are you feeling? And did you and Danny find a name that worked for the little cutie?â

ââEy, chica. This is pretty good.â Ricardo spoke with his mouth full of food. When Allie arrived in Kirkwood, he took it upon himself to become a friend whether she liked it or not. The fact she was Cuban made him feel an even stronger desire to look out for her too. âIn Mexico, Tamales donât normally have the meat in the dough but I like it. My madre wouldnât be impressed, though.â
  âPretty good? Ric, tamales is my best recipe. Itâs the only Cuban dish I can cook good.â she laughed to her friend, her fingers raking through her fading pink hair to get it out of her face. âI bet your mom cooks so much better than me. Think weâve known each other long enough to introduce me so I get to taste some?â she chuckled, putting down her fork to take a sip of her drink. âHowâs the coursework coming along? Submitted anything yet?â
ahlai-stevenson¡:
Ahlai hadnât actually wanted to move back to Atlanta, but after an emergency knee surgery she needed somewhere to recover and she moved back in with her parents so they could help with her daughter while she recovered. She hadnât expected to need a second surgery, one that would effectively end her surfing career for good and still not totally fix the problem. Sheâd committed to staying in Atlanta indefinitely, but after a few months she was getting used to a more structured lifestyle. Sheâd had an appointment with her surgeon that day and had received the news that she was likely going to need a third surgery, so instead of going home, she stopped off at a coffee shop to indulge herself a little before going home to tell her family the disappointing news. Sheâd just been messing around a little when one of the little cups of creamer slipped out of her hand and went flying behind her. Thankfully it was still closed, but she still felt guilty, âIâm so sorry,â she said with a small smile to the person sheâd accidentally thrown it at, âDid I hit you?âÂ
@atlanta-rpgstarters¡
 Working in the coffee shop was stressful just because of how hot it always was and busy but Allie preferred working hard since it made the day go by quicker for her. Plus, she got to meet so many different people and no day was really the same. She was clearing a nearby table, humming along to the coffee shopâs radio that had been on repeat all afternoon and was truly stuck in her head. Just as she leaned up to head to the next table, a small flash of white flew by her head and smacked her lightly on the chin before it fell down into the cup of half finished coffee she was carrying. âOp! I guess you didnât want that any more!â Allie laughed to the woman and waved her hand as she smiled. âIt did but donât worry, it woke me up. You could start a new trend for the people who need a boost but want to be caffeine free, Creamer Hit or something.â Allie said and then fetched a new cup that wasnât spoiled by the liquid in the cup the last one fell into. She slid it over in front of the woman and grinned. âKeep hold of this one this time.â
bailey-brown¡:
bailey twirled around on stage one last time, finishing up her performance with a bang. the brunette got off stage, heading straight for the bar to get a drink, sighing at the fact that she was tired. for now it paid for her bills and her family, her dream job being just a silly dream. âoh.â she looked down the bar, seeing someone she wasnât sure she wanted to see here, seeing her working in such a way. @atlanta-rpgstarters¡
 Allie was here to show support for her roomie Leyla, but the whole vibe of the club had quickly overwhelmed her. Usually the âseedierâ places in town pulled her in like a magnet but there was something about the audience in this club that scared Allie a little. She spotted one dancer that finished up on the stage and when they caught eyes, the brunettes expression made Allieâs heart drop. She wandered down closer and smiled softly. âAre you okay? You looked great up there.â
mamie-sheehan¡:
âThis is my first thanksgiving alone,â Mamie said casually to the person beside her in the grocery store. âI donât really know what Iâm doing, any advice?â
  âI havenât really celebrated Thanksgiving for a long time, I think Iâm a little rusty.â Allie laughed as she looked in her trolley that had an assortment of food but none of it close to the feast that the holiday was supposed to host. âDo you want to spend it together? We could cook something up at mine?â
noahmsimmons¡:
âNot here, but back when I was a teenager, it was the only way to sneak out of my house.â Noah chuckled rolling his eyes. âNo, I justâŚI donât know.â He hadnât really thought about where Allie lived. Noah wasnât sure if she knew where he lived either, so he wasnât sure why he felt bad. âMaybe you should get it checked out? Iâll miss the smiley faces, but Iâll miss your actual face even more if you do die because of mold.â Noah looked at her for a moment. âWhere did you live before?â
  âOhhh, first time for us both. Promise you wonât tell the whole school!?â Allie joked dramatically, tongue in chek as she sped on ahead, pulling Noah with her no doubt. âI keep writing to the landlords but I donât think they care. Aww, Iâm sure they could hire another girl with bad roots and pink hair but Iâd miss you too. We could communicate through a ouija board, though.â she giggled. âWhere do you live? I never usually see you around unless itâs at the coffee shop.â Allie asked while making their way to the roof stop. âArizona before here, and Vegas for a little while before Arizona. Nothing fancy in Vegas, I rented a motel for way too long. Have you always lived in Atlanta?â

finn--anderson¡:
Who was this girl and where did they find her? It was as if she had been created with Finnâs idea of a perfect girl in mind. Even the way her brain worked made Finn want to turn into some creepy Victorian scientist and tap into it to discover all the whyâs and howâs. âThatâŚactually has made me wanna go veggie.â he replied and ended up laughing when she commented on his eyes. He had Woodyâs nose and the shitty Anderson hairline, but at least his eyes were a saving grace of sorts. âOh, right. Yeah, Columbia. My bad. Were you born in Cuba, then? Can you speak Spanish?â Finn was ready to blame the champagne for his nervous giggle that was way too innocent sounding for an Anderson but the way Allie led him with that strange dance she did had made him feel like he was suddenly floating. Maybe he really did need to cut down on smoking before he went anywhere. âGuess the best thing about these masks is the fact no one will know how bad I dance. Iâm awful, two left feet.â he laughed again and now had the impossible task of figuring out what to do with his hands when they reached the dance floor. He cleared his throat, one hand trying to respectfully navigate around her waist as his other hand fumbled to take a hold of hers. âThis is going to end badly, you know that? Iâve drunk way too much and youâre way too pretty.â
 âNo, I wasnât born in Cuba. New York City.â Allie answered his question with a brief smile and a shrug of one shoulder. âMy parents were born in Cuba, though. And a lot of my family still live there.â she then let out a laugh and nodded. "puedo hablar espaĂąol. puedes hablarlo? je peux parler français aussi â Allie giggled as they created their formation together on the dance floor. Thanks to the education her parents forced her to have, Allie had a rather impressive skillset when it came to several languages. Not that she ever needed to use them. She could tell that Finn seemed nervous and if she was asked to tell the truth, it felt as if there was a museum of butterflies within her stomach when his hand carefully wrapped around her waist. She laughed again at how high it was, a sure sign he was trying to be careful and she tutted while reaching to slide it down a little lower against her hips. âThis isnât the baroque dance period, Finn. You donât have to be such a gent.â Allie slid her hand into his as the other took residence ontop of his shoulder. âDo you need me to lead? I can make it look as if youâre leading.â she whispered and then blushed slightly. âPretty? Is it because half of my face is hiding behind this mask?â she teased him .

@alectrona-hernandez¡
 Leyla didnât understand the meaning of personal space, all of her exes had so eloquently told her that she was too much - much too much. She still hadnât learned her lesson, the hopeless romantic pining for Woody whenever he didnât stay over to spend time with her. And how did she make herself feel better? By watching terribly dramatic romance movies, all while trying her hardest to avoid picking up her phone out of fear of texting him too much. Eyes blurry from tears thanks to The Notebook, Leyla felt a sigh of relief when she heard her roommate Allie arrive home. âen sonunda! Allie! Itâs the part where he says about the letters! Come quick! Hold me!â
 Allie adored living with Leyla, not only did it mean having a roommate saved her from when lonliness struck in the darker hours of the night - but the other girl was endearing and fun. As she closed the door that separated her from a long shift at the coffee shop, she sighed when she heard Leylaâs voice. âIâm coming!â she called back, throwing her rucksack to the ground and skipping to the couch, bundiling beside her friend and engulfing her into a big hug. âWhy donât you watch something happier if this makes you cry!? I know Ryan Gosling is hot but is that really worth the tears?â

âAH!!â He pops his head out from the dumpster, yells and waves his hand frantically at the silhouette of the person hoisting a trash bag over their shoulder, âWait! Wait a second! Person in a dumpster! One second! One second!â @atlanta-rpgstarters
âOh my god, Nick!â Allie had to divert the momentum she had gathered to haul the trash bag into the bin, spinning around in place with the weight of the bag. âYou almost got covered in peach juice!â she laughed, dropping the bag down and coming back closer to the dumpster and offering out her hands for him. âGet out of there and come get some breakfast!â
woodyanders¡:
a peppered criminal record listed with numerous petty crimes explained his rather niche skill set . picking locks was effortless , just as hot-wiring cars and stealing items from grocery stores seemed to be . â we had to fend for ourselves a lot , me and my brothers . if i didnât learn all this shit we wouldâve starved or got locked up forever . youâd be surprised what magic you can do with a bent paperclip , maybe iâll teach you sometime , â the emptiness beyond the door reminded him of jail cells that heâd spent too much time in , bare and bleak , dragging his feet along the ground as he followed allie and fumbled in one pocket for the stub of a cigarette he was halfway through already . â mhm , exactly like toy story . except i ainât no cowboy , and iâm not owned by anyone â sâonly a nickname , but if anyone finds out my real first name i gotta kill âem in seconds , â it was rather a sore subject , but heâd rather hear the same song over and over again than offer up the secret as an explanation . heâd been referred to as â woody â for so long that he didnât react to much else anyway , except his brothers calling him a dickhead or pinocchio for the giant nose his face was cursed with . â you got a tattoo ?? i lost count at this point . covered in âem , pretty much head to damn toe . you can color âem in , do whatever you want .. iâve heard every comment in the book about them , sayinâ i look like the back of a toilet door or a journal page . they ainât the best , but my brother did most of them , â
 Allieâs lips fell into a frown when her new found acquaintance gave a glimpse into a not so picture-esque childhood. âSounds like you and your brothers should be proud for surviving. Like warriors. Are you close?â she smiled after those words. âYou kind of remind me of someone I know already. Do your brothers live here too?â she wondered if the similarity in Finn and Danny, and now the mention of brothers had any connection whatsoever. Maybe men from Atlanta just looked alike? âOh, I donât think of you as a cowboy or something to be owned. I just like the song. I think itâs cool your name makes people think of a song thatâs about looking out for each other.â Allie offered another smile, still working her legs to carry her through the staircase. âI wonât ask it.â she then said simply when Woody explained it was only his nickname. âDoesnât matter what it is, anyways. Names our parents give us canât exactly predict who we become.â she knew exactly what he meant, she avoided telling people her real name as much as she could for reasons that were hard to explain. âI just have one, and itâs really stupid. I was an edgy eighteen year old, okay? I like yours and I like the fact they can be colored in too. Something thatâs permanent becomes variable. Thereâs a philosophy quote in there somewhere, maybe. Iâm glad I randomly met you tonight, Woody.â
finn--anderson¡:
âOh, veggie. How did I not know that?â Finn asked her with a laugh, he had always wanted to cut out meat and dairy but when his next meals came in the form of whatever leftovers he could find he couldnât be too choosy. âShark!?â he shouted the word with surprise, his voice carried over the music and turned a few heads but he didnât seem to notice. âThatâs just cruel.â he added in his normal volume and shook his head. âI think Anderson is Nordic so I probably got viking blood, maybe. Still explains the drunks, though.â Finn smiled and then nodded as soon as Allie revealed her Cuban roots. âI coulda guessed that, actually. Cuba, is that the place with all the good cocaine?â he then questioned innocently and couldnât help but smile when Allie realized he had asked her to dance. âYeah, I was asking you to dance, Al. But if itâs too embarrassing to be seen dancing with me, I can take rejection pretty well.âÂ
 âI donât think itâs ever come up in conversation, Finn.â Allie shrugged and nodded her head with eager agreement at his outburst. âYes, precisely my reaction too! Then I thought, how come I think itâs weird to eat a shark and not a chicken? Listo, Veggie-Allie was born.â Al ended up giggling to Finn, shaking her head at him with a smile. âNordic. Explains the eyes. Youâre thinking of Columbia, my friend. But, no use asking me. Just the herbal kind of drug is enough for me.â Allie wiggled her fingers when she extended her hand out to Finn. âWhy would I be embarrassed to dance with you? No one will even know itâs us anyways.â she smiled, grabbing his hand and dancing awkwardly off-beat on purpose as she led him to the dance floor. âWe can do anything and no one will know.â

lenawilliamson¡:
Lena needed a toilet break. Sheâd spent the night with Romeo, and all but fallen in love with the boy (it was a word she still didnât know how to use properly). Now she just needed to have a small break to see if she still looked as she did many hours previous. Being at the end of the stalls, sheâd been going through her bag for her lipstick when sheâd heard Allie having a row with someone on the phone. She didnât want to pry, but she figured it must have been a parent. Typical, she thought. âA little, but you still look gorgeous. I look like a whole ass panda when I cry.â She tried to joke, digging through her bag for a packet of wipes - you never know when youâd need them - she walked over to her and handed them over. âEverything okay?â She questioned.
 Allie laughed through the remainder of a sob that was stuck in her chest, smiling to Lena with a shake of her head. âThank you, but Iâm sure you look beautiful even as a whole ass panda.â she replied, gently taking the wipes and smiling again. âLife saver! No wonder youâre a nurse, always thinking of what can help.â she nudged her shoulder lovingly into her friendâs and made a start on cleaning her eye make up. âOh, Iâm...fine. Never really liked parties like this, you know? Doesnât matter how pretty the dresses are, or handsome the suits. Itâs all a mask, quite literally.â she laughed and ran a hand through her hair. âNothing a whole bunch of champagne canât fix!â
leyla-tekin¡:
 Leyla had more than enough dancing in her life so at the suggestion, she practically dug her heels into the ground. âAllie, no!â she waved a finger to her friend as if she was reprimanding a misbehaved dog. âI am not getting on that bar, this place is too fancy.â she explained and finally laughed a little. âMen would have sex with a jar of peanut butter, that isnât a compliment. I donât want to give them something to look at. Iâm here to enjoy myself, not dance for them. You get up there if you want to impress them so much.â
  âDid I hit a nerve?â Allie asked, voice coated with concern as her hand reached out to take her friendâs. âIâm sorry, I just thought it would be fun. We donât have to.â Allie frowned, feeling guilty if she had said something wrong to upset her friend. âFuck the men, I donât care about them. Are you okay, Leyla?â
