This isn’t funny at all though. Because people genuinely need subtitles and this type of thing blocks out the whole screen. It is making the content inaccessible for people who purely rely on captions to consume content. As a fellow disabled phannie on twitter said, ‘being disabled is not funny’ This should NOT be something messed around with. Dan and Phil themselves have said and I quote: ‘we order real captions for all the vids’ so why isn’t anything being done?

I definitely agree this, it makes me angry a lot and I think we need to raise more awareness about this even though I took the piss out of it in this post (sorry if I seemed insensitive about this common issue, I need subtitles too but maybe less or for a different reason than another person with another disability but it doesn't make it okay so thank you for sharing this 🫶). I wish we could do something about it to make the subtitles better like reaching out to patreon or something...
