marriage was the bridge towards freedom. her mother promised her that whenever she tutted at alina for letting her manners slip, or protesting another dance with a potential suitor. finding a proper husband was her duty, but once fulfilled she could indulge in her independence. but she had walked the aisle, she did wear the dress, and yet all alina was allowed to see were the four walls of her bedchambers. and those of her husband whenever he felt lonely. but she hadn’t gotten as much as a taste of freedom, not until she began to note the patterns in the guard’s patrols. the first day she made it through the halls, and the second she dared slip into the deserted library. the third day were when she first set foot in the gardens. she had never made it through there unseen.
the timbre of his voice was familiar when it called to her, his frame cloaked in the darkness of the night and still she would recognize him anywhere. “ it would not be becoming of a lady to sneak out unguarded. i was merely out on a nighttime stroll. ” her excuses and his careful directions had become ritual. coated in plausible deniability, were someone listening, but neither clueless about what her true plans were. “ if you must. or perhaps i could accompany you on patrol. the weather hasn’t been this nice in months, and it would be a shame to admire these clear night skies from my window. ”
luka's gaze lingers on her for a moment before he begins to walk, already resigned to the fact that she would not be returning directly to her chambers no matter what either of them claimed. each night there was a different plea offered and each night he accepted it with the same feigned skepticism, a ritual as familiar as the route they took through the gardens. "a nighttime stroll," he repeats, the faintest hint of amusement pulling at his lips. "of course, and here i was concerned i had interrupted some grand escape." he falls into step beside her, boots quiet against the stone path. the night air is cool, carrying the scent of roses and damp earth from the flowerbeds. for a time he says nothing, allowing her the freedom he'd assumed she had come searching for. "if i permit you to accompany me on patrol, i suspect i am failing rather spectacularly at my duties, my lady." the words are light, but his eyes drift toward her all the same. toward the woman who had arrived at court, only to become increasingly absent from it. luka was not blind. one did not spend years guarding a castle without noticing who was allowed to move freely within its walls and who was not. "then again, i imagine the stars do look rather different when viewed from somewhere beyond a window." it was perhaps the closest he had ever come to acknowledging it. not the particulars of her marriage, nor the restrictions placed upon her, but the simple fact that he saw them. saw her slipping from her chambers after night in search of freedoms so small most people would never even think to miss them.

1. Summer road trip — just our muses traveling together with no fixed destination, going on adventures, exploring, watching sunsets and sunrises together, finding themselves and maybe even finding love ? Or falling out of it ? Maybe getting into some trouble ? ㅤ
2. Summer vacation — our muses were scammed and rented the same house at the same time. Unable to reach the landlord, and with none of them willing to give up the house, they now have to live together and put up with each other. Will they get along and find out they have much more in common than the same taste for houses, or will they get on each other’s nerves ?
3. Summer vacation — our muses’ significant others are siblings/best friends, so the four of them are going on vacation and staying together. What they don’t know is that our muses always had a huge crush on each other and/or dated in the past. Will our muses finally admit their feelings for each other and give in to them, or will they keep them hidden for the sake of their relationships ?
4. Summer cruise — our muses are on a luxurious cruise together and they’ve just met, or perhaps they’ve run into each other before and didn’t get along well. Suddenly, there’s a terrible accident and the ship is sinking, and all they have is each other to count on. Will they give in to panic, help the other calm down, worry about their well being or leave them behind ? And as they both reach the shore, they’re stuck on a desert island together. Will they cooperate to survive, find ways to ask for help, try to build a home, fall in love, completely get on each other’s nerves ? Basically, it’s a little “Titanic meets The Blue Lagoon”.
5. Summer camp — our muses are the new counselors at a summer camp where all sorts of strange things happen. From romance to disappearances and creepy horror, everything is allowed. ( This plot was inspired by AHS 1984. )
