Mondstadt & Liyue boys x traveler! gn! Reader
Genre: humor, fluff-ish, sfw
Dragonspine is one tough mountain to adventure in, and as the mysteries surrounding the area start to pile up with promises of hidden treasures, you thought it would be best to gather up as many allies as you could in order to make the trip easier. You know, safety in numbers and all.
However, the longer you explore through the sheer cold with your party, the more you start to believe that maybe being a lone wolf was the better option.
"This place really reminds me of home!" Childe's eyes wander around the icy mountain with amusement ahead of the group as all eight of you trudge the trail.
Diluc scoffs, "I'm sure the amount of fatui loitering around would bring back a lot of fond memories."
"Aww come on, don't be like that! You all know how much I want to quit my job!" Childe looks behind at the winery owner and narrows his eyes playfully.
Kaeya, who fought for the spot to walk next to your, slings an arm around you shoulders, "Oh? Isn't your main goal after quitting to join our dear traveler on their journey?"
"Then it's best if you stick to your job," Xiao interjects, venom lacing his voice. How did you manage to convince the yaksha to leave his post and journey with you to Dragonspine? Not even Rex Lapis knows.
Before you knew it, all four of them, with the exception of Zhongli, Albedo and Razor, were all out bickering. It didn't help that Kaeya loves to swing his hands around during arguments, and with one of his arms wrapped around your shoulder, it leads to nothing but a literal headache as your head gets swung around rapidly.
You bend down to escape his hold, as one of your hands lands on the snowy ground, an idea immediately pops into your mind. You scoop up a good amount of Xiao's food, ahem, I mean snow, and mold it into a few balls. You look up to see the boys still arguing and commence your plan.
The loud and messy quarrel abruptly stops when they feel something cold hit their backs, they turn to you who is now sporting a mischievous grin.
Childe was the first to recover from his surprise, bending down to make a snowball himself and throwing it in the others' direction. "SNOWBALL FIGHT!" He yells and continues to pick up more snow.
Not even the boys who were not part of the arguing were safe.
Poor Razor was confused at why everyone's attacking each other, please help him. Zhongli is amused at first until he starts to join in, and in that case, you better hide because he's awfully good at aiming and he won't hold back. Albedo just...kinda gives up and accepts his fate.
By the end of the quite violent fight, you were left freezing with the snow covering your clothes and exposed skin.
Diluc notices immediately, removing his coat and draping it over your shoulders like the gentleman that he is. "It will be bad if you catch a cold."
You smile up at him gratefully, unknowingly causing his cheeks to heat up as you snuggle further into his coat and mumble a small thanks. He clears his throat and excuses the red dusting his cheeks as his pyro vision just helping him stay warm.
Not even a step forward later, you feel another set of clothes being draped over your figure, this time Zhongli pats your head, "The warmer you are, the better."
You hear Kaeya make 'tch' sound and feel yet another coat being added onto your pile. "Hey, it's getting kinda heavโ"
"We can all agree that my coat looks the best on you, so why don't you keep it on for me sweetheart, hmm?" The captain winks. You don't know whether to feel flustered or annoyed.
Before Childe could even approach you, Xiao summons his spear and menacingly stands between you and him, Childe only gets more excited about potentially fighting one of the strongest adepti in Liyue. You had to stop them, albeit a little clumsily due to all the coats you're trying to balance, before they wreak havoc in the mountain of Dragonspine.
Razor was quiet the whole time, but you can see him shivering due to the lack of sleeves in his outfit.
You remove one layer from your shoulders and wrap the boy of Wolvendom with it. "Feeling better?" You ruffle his hair as he leans into your touch. "Warmer," he pouts, "but not your scent."
Suddenly the ground shakes, coming from something heavy thudding on the snowy grounds. A shadow casts upon your figures and all eight of you look up to see a Ruin Grader marching towards your direction. No doubt that the bickering from earlier has woken up the creature.
As you summon your weapon, you feel someone grab onto your free hand and gently pull you away. You turn to see Albedo's eyes shining with mischief, his lips forming a rare smirk, "Best we clear the path ahead and leave them to fight amongst themselves, they can handle it."
The chief alchemist's smirk grows wider as you reluctantly walk away with him, your hand lightly squeezing back. He makes a scoreboard in his head that's totally not biased.
