to the whoever I end up with. honesty, I can’t wait for the days I get to run around the house with you. the nights I get to roll over and see you peacefully sleeping. the evenings I get to take you to dinner. the nights where we stay in and watch stupid movies all night. the days we go on random adventures with no destination. the midnight trips to the store because we were hungry or ran out of alcohol. the mornings I get to cook you breakfast. there’s so much more I could say but to be honest I just can’t wait to experience life with you.

Breathe. You’re going to be okay. Breathe and remember that you’ve been in this place before. You’ve been this uncomfortable and anxious and scared, and you’ve survived. Breathe and know that you can survive this too. These feelings can’t break you. They’re painful and debilitating, but you can sit with them and eventually, they will pass. Maybe not immediately, but sometime soon, they are going to fade and when they do, you’ll look back at this moment and laugh for having doubted your resilience. I know it feels unbearable right now, but keep breathing, again and again. This will pass. I promise it will pass.

I like cancelled plans. And empty bookstores. I like rainy days and thunderstorms. And quiet coffee shops. I like messy beds and over-worn pajamas. Most of all, I like the small joys that a simple life brings.
