Late evening walks to the grocery store after his shift at the game store was always Keigo’s favorite event of the day. Because the grocery store means dinner--a packet of ramen noodles for the main course, a carton of ice cream for desert, and several bags of chips for his lazy lounging afterwards. It wasn’t the healthiest choices, but as long as he eats, right? 

The grocery store is only a few blocks away from the game store, so Keigo always took his time, enjoying the crisp winter chill in the air. And when he arrives, he notices a young man clothed in black, sitting on the bench outside of the store, playing on what was clearly seen as a PSP. 

At first, Keigo’s a bit curious, but he ignores him and walks inside. 

While the cashier was ringing up his items, he glances out the window--the young man still settled atop the bench, still playing on his PSP. So when he steps out of the store, he walks around to the other side of the bench, seating himself right beside him. Keigo’s known for invading people’s businesses and this guy has become his unlucky victim.

“Ichigo, listen.” 

It’s just Keigo and Ichigo walking home today ( Miziuro had a ‘doctor’s appointment’--lame ) and it’s actually not as silent as Keigo actually thought it’d be. Keigo’s in the middle of explaining his Karaoke Girl dilemma, the same one from one year ago. The girl he claimed ‘ love at first sight ‘ when he was singing his heart out one night at the local karaoke joint .. she was a worker--his waitress to be exact when he ordered curly fries and a mango smoothie. 

“She’s literally the sun .. okay, not literally but still-- she’s so beautiful? So radiant?!” 

As far as Keigo is concerned, she’s still working there and he hasn’t missed a single Karaoke Saturday where it’s open mic night instead of being confined in small rooms. He’s stood on stage every single Saturday and sang the same love song--directed at beautiful Karaoke Girl though she never really payed attention when he was up on stage. 

He’s tried taking Ichigo once, but of course, he refused.
