☼  - cuddling on the sofa next to each other.

        it’d become a HABIT, he’d find, to visit yukio every time he was granted access to the world of the living. whatever business he had would be swiftly dealt with, giving him extra time to spend away from his work, his duties-- giving him time to spend with him. they might not do much apart from sitting next to each other, activities ranging from watching / helping him with his works, to conversing about everything EXCEPT for the backgrounds they kept trying to avoid, to playing games, reading or watching series together ( something he grew to find pretty interesting, televisions were an amazing invention ). he’d come to enjoy these quiet moments, where all they had to do was spend time around each other in silence to be satisfied, CONTENT.

        glance is casted sideways when he feels WEIGHT building on his shoulder, closing the distance between them. despite his cool exterior, he can feel his cheeks dusting a shade of pink at the action-- though admittedly, a much paler shade compared to the one yukio had. the captain coughs, attempting to will the embarrassment away, before continuing with, ❝ are you COLD ? ❞ hands move to grab ahold of one of his, turning it over in his own hands, before giving it a little squeeze. it was difficult to tell-- he’d grown so USED to the chill, to the wintry aura of his zanpakutou, that what might’ve been cold to yukio, was warm to him.

(whispers) i love my kids so much
