Going around the moon, 4/6/2026
Most of my day was watching and listening to the crew of the Orion space craft and Houston chatting about features of the lunar surface as they reached the moon and their tour into the dark side. I am looking forward to seeing all the photos they took...I found the whole experience very soothing, even when the moments of silence between the two...I sat sorting through old photos, putting them into photo albums and organizing...organizing being one of my specialties...another soothing thing to do during trying times, it keeps my brain busy and not spiraling into a loop of doom and gloom...whatever works, right?
I saw the moon this morning, it was snowing a little bit when I was out doing chores, and I just finished putting out the bird seed into the feeders when the moon peeked out through a break in the clouds. I missed seeing the full moon this month because of our cloud cover.
A gust of wind just blew through spraying snow in a squall just now...everything is sugar coated out there. Miss Elizabeth's mash is ready and I must brave another round of "January in April" Today we're going to be below freezing and dipping into the teens overnight for another Winter "last hurrah" in which we will once again crawl back to normal springtime temperatures tomorrow. Good grief, I know it's not going to be the last shot of chill, we're likely to have at least one more frost before it's over. It is what it is.
