pretty happy with the way the latest manga arc re: the rei + copbuddies flashback turned out, all things considered. i didn't think it was likely but a tiny part of me was worried it'd be too similar to the akai flashback, but they're really very different in an appropriate way. the more distinct the relationships shinichi has with those two from one another the better for everyone involved
