I don’t draw it as much as I used to (I still do every now and then ) but I do very much still care about them… my fruit loop soldiers on the desserted outpost, living out their days doing who knows what… rvb was some guys little project with his friends and it’s probably not a good idea to hold too much meaning to that. But it really is something to be amazed by… making shitty videos about your master chief recolors , adding a ghost just cause it’d be cool and sticking to it. Writing characters based off your friends and having them voice it. It’s really nice. It’s cool. Some guy wrote this down and stuck to it and it had a 2 decade run… it makes me want to stick to the things I write down my little projects, it doesn’t have to explode or whatever but it’d be out there..

Rvb was this little thing that was very hard to watch when I was who knows how old. Specifically the older wide aspect ratio version. And I watched it because it was made by the “same guy(s)” who made minecraft xbox videos. Back when I was scrambling to any minecraft youtuber especially if they played on xbox because I played on xbox.. then I watched it again when I was really sick with covid .. and now it’s already over but I still think about it. Once I get the chance my first tattoo will probably be that rly cliche line. But it really does make me happy

Idk what it is about it. Something about guys that are generally average but also not amazing and never changing. On paper what’s interesting about them anyways? But I really like the little ways they’re vulnerable. I like sarge’s sigh when donut lost his fingers, the way he’s able to hype up his team that he doesn’t really like nor like him back. I like Simmons flipflop between being with the blues whenever he’s just angsty. I like grif, his whole thing he’s so fun to toy around with. I love church and tuckers many versions of their relationships. There’s so many things about rvb that are just nothingburgers probably… but they’re really good filling delicious burgers to me. These characters are objectively rude and not nice they’re mean and toxic but they’re fun and comforting to me. It’s like an oxymoron lol

What’s my point? Idk. I forgot. Honestly I just spiraled a bit looking at my old rvb art, I’d like to be better I’d like to keep putting my ideas down and putting them out there.. I’d like to get better at art, at expressing what I love about these freaks in my head
