Project 5 - Working In a Series
Artist Statement:
All of my life, I’ve found natural beauty to be better than anything man can try to fix, build, or create. Often times we try so hard to create our own beauty and we tend to get in the way of the beauty already placed in front of us. There are many types of creation in this world that we attempt at making more beautiful. I’ve always thought that natural beauty is the best way to show God’s power and His glory. The creation I decided to capture are people, specifically young women. The category these photos would fall under are interpretive photos. I want my audience to be able to guess what my opinions are about natural beauty. For this piece of work, I decided to choose young women to have their natural beauty and their put together beauty captured, comparing within a series of other photos. The goal of this project is try to bring out the feelings of the women and the audience for both sides of beauty.
