Sidewalk selfie

There was some fantastic colour in the sky to the East for just a few moments. I snapped this as I was finishing up a walk but then tried to head West to see i I could line it up with a wider view. Alas, barely ten minutes later it was gone-- this is my only proof. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Enchanted Tiki room

This is a shot I took during #CamdenCommons in South End in June. I wanted to capture what could be a final glimpse of the sky from this spot with all of the new towers going up so I randomly pointed my camera and got this. I think it's a pretty fun shot that captures the transition in South End to taller buildings with more street-level community events.

CSX crew members working to reverse a train through Matthews, NC earlier this year. The train had stopped after a spotter noticed and called-in a damaged wheel on one of the cars, which crews had to work out a plan for detaching and leaving on a side track while managing road traffic and a crowd that built up to watch.
