Maggie had an inkling about it, but to hear the words drop from her sister’s lips just made it all that much more real. She felt the color drain from her face before she brought her hands up to brush her hair back. “No, no, I can’t be…” she muttered, trying to be in denial about it. Not that she didn’t believe in the science, but she just couldn’t be a mother. Period. She couldn’t bring a child into her fucked up life.

Reaching over she took Maggie's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "You are pregnant, Mags. Do you know who the father is?" Last thing she wanted to believe was that her sister was sleeping around.
