I bet Mark heard it, too.

Mark is the only character–  Besides Celine, to a certain extent– who seems to fully understand what’s going on in this convoluted place, and he can travel around in it. He tells Damien that he’s “a hard man to find”– meaning he’s been searching through this otherworld/these realities looking for him. He had to tempt Damien out of his own little reality in the woods because it was easier than trying to get past Celine, but the fact that he found where Damien and Celine were in the first place means he has some spacial awareness and control. This is something Damien, Will, and Abe don’t have.

So if he has an understanding of his situation and the ability to control where he goes, it’s not too hard to believe he could do what Damien couldn’t and listen to the full interaction between Will and Abe, right?

It sure seems like he did.

And yes, I know you’ve probably already seen that one, but there’s so much more than that. Here’s another example:

There’s also an extremely good chance that Abe heard snippets of the conversation Damien and Mark had without understanding what was truly being said, just like Damien heard snippets of Abe’s conversation, but I don’t know…

that might be a bit of a stretch, even for me.
