A lot of layers of translation, legibility, gender politics, queer worldmaking, the ways power operates through language, whether there is a dominant culture that is being catered to or subverted and how that differs when thinking of an anticipated Thai audience vs. international audience.

I've been out of academia for a long time, but in another world I'd want to write a whole thesis (or, like, at least an essay) about this.
