Ainsley looked back over to the woman beside her and shook her head. “Not much anymore. Well, to be honest, I’ve never been that much of a drinker, especially after having my daughter at a young age. I have the occasional glass of wine though,” she said with a smile. “What are you drinking tonight?”

“I am very emotional right now.” She chuckled as she put her glass on the coffee table and leaned against her mother, another chuckle leaving her. “Of course not, how do you think it makes me feel?” She exhaled. “She wants Allan to be at her party and… you should have seen Brent’s face when I told him.”
Ainsley chuckled to her words before feeling her smile fading to what she said next. “I’m sorry, dear,” she sighed. “How are you feeling about Allan coming?”

“Well, I can tell you why,” Penelope said, just before taking a drink of her own glass, “That was tequila. You didn’t do the salt and lime thing that most people do.”
Ainsley looked at the woman beside her and laughed softly, nodding in agreement. “That makes sense. I’d say that I’d take another shot again of tequila again with a salt and lime, but I think I’m just going to order a glass of wine,” she said before waving over the bartender and ordering a glass of red wine.
Ainsley raised the shot glass to her lips and made a face after she downed it. “There’s a reason why I don’t take shots anymore,” she said shaking her head and chuckled before glancing over at the person beside her.

Pippa chuckled as she let her eyes lift up towards her. “You haven’t done that in so long… not since I found out I was pregnant… Well, when those pictures came out.” She made a face as she walked over to the couch. “Can you believe Bethany is going to be nine tomorrow?”
“I only do it when you need it to happen and thats when you’re feeling very emotional so this is definitely a time to do it,” Ainsley said with a chuckle as she put her glass of wine on the coffee table to pull her daughter closer to her, more between her legs to cuddle up. “Are you trying to make me feel old?” She asked teasingly before kissing the back of her head as she started to run her fingers through her hair. “No, I can’t believe it. She’s grown up so fast, just like you did.”

Pippa nodded her head as she followed her mother over to the counter. “Please, the biggest glass you can find.” She chuckled sadly through her tears.
Ainsley found them both pretty large glasses in the cupboards and started opening up one of the bottles of red wine that she had. She poured them both a glass and handed hers over to her. “Come on, let’s go cuddle on the couch and I’ll run my fingers through your hair,” she said smiling to her daughter and leading her into the living room and sitting on the couch.

“Okay, good,” Ainsley said before giving her daughter one last kiss on the forehead before stepping away and getting out some wine. “Would you like a glass as well?”

Peyton bit her lip as she walked along with the woman, shrugging. “I…” She sighed. “I punched a wall… a couple times.” She admitted, knowing it made her sound mad. “I get… I get angry sometimes, I don’t know what to do with it… it comes out in ways like that.”
Ainsley frowned at her words, but was happy that the girl seemed comfortable enough to open up to her. She reached out to press her hand against the other blondes shoulder in comfort and gave her a small smile. “You don’t need to explain yourself further,” she assured her before letting her hand drop back to her side. “I’m sorry you find yourself getting angry sometimes,” she said softly as they got closer to her house. “I’m Ainsley by the way, and I appreciate you opening up to me when you don’t have to.”

Peyton took the napkins with a little sniff, wrapping them over her cut up knuckles as she moved to follow the woman along the street. “Okay.” Peyton nodded. “Thanks.” She said again, feeling a bit silly now.
“No need to thank me, I’m happy to help,” Ainsley reassured her as they walked and she took another glance at her hand. “I don’t mean to pry, but I have to ask...how did you hurt your hand?” She asked softly, getting closer to her house.

“Let’s go,” Ainsley said before getting up and walking outside of the coffee shop that they were in and heading to the nearest pub down the road. “I don’t usually grab beers with anyone like this. I’m usually cleaning my house and babysitting my granddaughter,” she admitted with a chuckle. “It’s nice to have a friend and to get out.” She nodded with a smile.
