saturday, january 6th! i didn't exactly do school work today. i did chores and checked my calendar so now it's up to date, renewed some library books and returning the rest on monday (i've been procrastinating even that, whoops). it felt like a nice reset day. i guess we just need to take those when we can!

i'm kind of slacking with photography, and it doesn't feel great. i really want to be the kind of person who sees beauty around me but sometimes it's just hard, man... anyways, i'm doing everything i can to get out of this slump.

days 4 and 5 went by as i continued my math exercises, doing ex. 66-98. luckily i don't need to return the book yet so i bought myself some extra time with this math course, and i'm aiming to turn it in by the end of the month.

made it to day 3! i continued studying the math theory and with that finished chapter 2. i didn't want to move on to the material exercises yet, because with a glance i can already tell it's not going to work out immediately. so instead i moved on to the same subject in my study book, which usually helps me move forward!

tuesday went almost completely by as i finished split dying my hair cause that took a lot of time. in the evening i meant to study for my math course but i got sidetracked and accidentally ended up reading about the Battle of Normandy for way too long, so now i got that going on for me.

first day of the year was a freezing one! i went for a short walk to squeeze in a photography session and i think my hands are still cold from it...

besides it being super cold i focused on math, and i also took a lot of time to chill because i felt like new year's eve just passed me by. i did exercises 15-19 from chapter one, and (i think) ex. 62-65 from the study book and studied a bit of theory.

confirmed: my mom can read a book that took me 2 months to read in a day. i'm not annoyed at all by how busy i've been and how long it took me to finish a book i was actually enjoying (The Thursday Murder Club, Richard Osman). now i'm onto Butcher's Crossing and honestly i don't know if i can finish it with this work load. can't wait to read Little Women for a book report next!

hello, and happy new years eve!

just letting you guys know that i know i haven't been active recently. i've been very ill and tired. but as of next week i'd like to start regularly documenting my life in general here.

i've been too focused on setting goals and getting things done and getting caught up in the disappointment of not getting things done. i think the key here is to focus less on all the achievements and goals, and do the things that i know will lead me towards the future i want to have and just focus on the daily living that it is a part of. that's really what i want this "productivity" challenge to be all about.

i'm still a student, so yes i'm still calling this blog a studyblr, but i'd like to motivate myself to post more frequently than i did this year. i started this blog in april and i managed to post barely 80 times throughout the rest of the year. it's still something but i'd like to see more of my life in this blog.

i think 2024 will bring back some old routines as well as a lot of new things and i think i'm ready for it! if you're still here after my lenghty disappearances, thank you very much. you're an important part of this community and the reason i keep coming back.

i had a slow morning today: i journaled, i played guitar a little and i vacuumed. now i have some writing to do for school and i think i'll be really happy with how this day went if i get it all done.

also should write an essay, but i'll probably just keep it on idea level and then write it tomorrow!

i have been absolutely horribly terribly stagnant this past week, and i have to get it together. this is no living :(

for the next 76 days i need to get 5 tasks done per day, (not including christmas eve, christmas day and new year's eve, which i'll take off, but would love to still post here) and then i'll be done with my studies. so let's start from today.

here's what i need to get done:

finish text comparing 3 poems (in progress)

add a study log entry

finish dramatic arc analysis on an episode (in progress)

write dialogue to a play

i've started 3 of these, which is good cause i need an easy start to this journey. i hate the last task and i'm dreading it, because it's an old play that i need to revamp with my own dialogue, and it's not exactly my first interest. wish me luck, everyone!

i got back home yesterday and spent the day just getting everything in order - doing grocery shopping, planning my studies for the month etc. i hate coming back to these freezing temperatures, but also it's kind of comforting. i have this little tiny voice of hope inside me that says maybe this winter will be good.

also, thanks to my vacation, i finally read a book for fun. i read Stephen King's Mr. Mercedes in sep. 2022 and i finally got around reading the sequel Finders Keepers. it wasn't as good in my opinion, but i still loved it as i tend to love all King's books. and on top of being a fun read, it awakened my addiction to buying notebooks with all the hundreds of filled Moleskines it kept mentioning in every single chapter.

anyways, on today's agenda:

probably still catching up on life stuff, like ugh do laundry

recapping what i studied in math a while back so i can jump in on it next week

if there's time, write some texts for school

today i finished writing my novella analysis. i went like a 100 words over the limit but i don’t understand how i could’ve kept it under 400 words - the novella had so many layers to analyze. after that i had to write about writing the analysis on my study log…

i also finished writing an epic poem, which i struggled so much with since it had to be written in Kalevala-form. i do like how it turned out but it took me like 6 hours to write 10 stanzas

today was sunny/cloudy with a chance of a broken water heater and impromptu studying.

traveling again

i spent 6 hours on a plane reading Walt Whitman (my love), listening to music, writing poetry and dozing off repeatedly. cooked dinner and oof the time difference is hitting hard after waking up at 4.30am after not really sleeping enough... i still should study a little though, so i don't know. i might as well stay up to watch my favourite swedish show cause this hotel gets swedish channels!!!! i don't even get them at home, sobbb

okay yes, an update after a long time! so i've recently gotten back on track with my diet, and i'm feeling pretty good and healthy currently! focus issues still persist, but i'm trying to work through them. been kind of stressed and b*tchy lately, but i'm working on it as well.

today i got some things done! not everything on the list, and in the evening i was like, i'll do tiny prep for these assignments and then just actually do them in the morning with better energy. i enrolled on a mandatory philosophy course tho and finished chapter 1, except for 2 questions i still need to write something for in the study log.

i didn't finish anything for my literature class, i just scramled with the same assignments as before, but i'm confident they'll be done tomorrow and then i'm moving on to lyricism. i've already taken a bit of a headstart tho, and did an assignment yesterday for which i had to write 3 tankas.
