You can make anything you like — fanarts, fics, videos, cosplay, fanmixes, merch photos, etc. The sky is the limit, as they say! It doesn't matter how you choose to participate, what matters is sharing the Aikoto love.

#AikotoPromise - A Mini Aikoto Event on January 25!

Hi everyone! Instead of #AikotoWeek, this year I would like to host mini events to celebrate various different important Aikoto dates. The first one will take place on January 25, to commemorate Aigis’ and Leader’s Promise. Aka, the moment when they promise to “stay together”.

There are no prompts this time!

To participate, all you have to do is share your Aikoto fanworks (illustrations, graphics, videos, fanfics, merch photos, etc) - created specially for this mini event - using the hashtag #AikotoPromise. If you don’t have time to make anything, you can also use the #AikotoPromise tag to share your thoughts about anything and everything Aikoto related!

I’ll be holding the event on Twitter (@p3_aikoto) but I’ll also make sure to keep an eye on any entries that may be posted here on Tumblr, so please don’t hesitate to participate in the platform you feel most comfortable with.

Day 6: What if Makoto came back?

Well, I honestly really hope he doesn’t “come back to life” so to speak. That would remove a lot of the tragic weight of both the game itself and this beloved pairing. So, I try not to think about that, since it sounds like a jumping the shark moment. Of course, others have suggested him being freed from the seal and moving on to some sort of afterlife, and I can see that. I’ve heard of fanfiction ideas where Makoto becomes a member of the Velvet Room or something like that, and I might like the idea if it was done in an ambiguous enough way.

Makoto’s unexpected question sends Aigis on a road to self-discovery, and she finds that the simplest answers can sometimes be the most difficult of all.

Day 7: ‘For Death Shall Never Part Us.’

Rating: M. Tagging NSFW to be safe, too.

Warnings: Adorable babis, declarations of love, complete circumvention of Canon for the sake of toaster-messiah romance, mentions of an incredibly close call with Death, smol beans k i s s i n g, getting blue-balled at the last minute by all of ones friends when you’re this close to-

Summary: For the Plumes were taken in his stead, and she is forever grateful.

(Alternatively, for he was nearly sacrificed, but their bond and the Plumes proved enough.)

Day 6: ‘Music To Her Ears.’

Prompt: Music.

Rating: M.

Warnings: Adorable babis, teasing, ‘implied’ sexual activity (public).

Summary: He tried to show her how to play an instrument. As it turned out, a mostly-soundproofed room had other advantages.

Personally? Absolutely. To be honest, by January, I think they were already really close to being ‘together’ in all but name. It’s in the little things, like for example, Leader getting special scenes with only Junpei (canonically, the closest to being his best friend) and Aigis.

His scene with Aigis even features Leader promising her that they’ll “stay together”, as revealed in the P3 & P3 FES Perfect guides.

Aigis’ and Leader’s Promise […]  On the day Leader comes to the rooftop during Career Counseling, he receives Aigis’s confession of wanting them to stay together.

— What if Leader came back?

I honestly don’t see him coming back per se, but I do definitely think that one day we’ll get to see Elizabeth (and Aigis, and the Wild Cards they’ll recruit in between) free Makoto’s soul. I’m guessing this will only happen once they’re ready to “Retire” the Neo Persona cast and move onto a different age of Persona games, so it’ll probably take a while before we get there lol

What I find most interesting though is that in PQ they speak about the concept of “Eternity”, which to them is essentially the afterlife. So I like to think that, when Makoto’s soul is finally free from the seal, he will be able to move onto “Eternity” and Aigis will either go with him (if enough years have passed that she has basically led a full human life by then or even more), or eventually join him there.

I’d even argue it’s been foreshadowed by this exchange between Zen and Rei, where Zen’s parallels to Aigis are so many that they’re impossible to count lol
