If you know me even a little you know that Mama Swift is a hero to me. The way she raised Taylor to be a kind, polite woman who fights for what is right. She is simply...Amazing.
As a mom - I identify with her so much. As a daughter I identify with Taylor having a parent with cancer. My heart is shattered that they have to fight this fight.
Andrea, if I can raise my daughter to be half the woman Taylor is - I will claim success. You are my hero. You are my role model as I navigate being a mom to a teenager. This year I ’ve experienced something that you are familiar with - your child not fitting in at school.
I would do ANYTHING to make things better for my girl and it’s extra hard because I can’t fix it. I’m her mom...I’m supposed to make everything okay and I can’t. I’ve looked to you, to the way you supported Taylor and take strength from that. Strength from the fact that Taylor - a gorgeous, talented, SMART, kind human faced the same things in school. I’d love to ask your advice on how to get through it because it’s one if the hardest things I’ve ever done.
I love Taylor. I love her music and her lyrics that say so much. My favorite song on Lover is Soon You’ll Get Better. I look at it as a love letter from Taylor, to you. It’s so special and honest and raw.
