“Oh.” Samuel fidgeted a little. He didn’t relate, not really - his pack had been fairly solitary as well, unless the less-than-pleasant encounters with the local vampires counted. (They didn’t.) But it had never bothered Samuel; his pack - his family by his own standards - was a big pack, and Samuel hadn’t ever felt lonely. If anything, he felt lonelier now, surrounded by new faces. Still, he tried to smile encouragingly. “Well, you’ll be able to branch off soon, right?”
She nodded, smiling. "I've started a bit, with you and Bella...but I don't want to branch off so much I forget my dad. He barely made it out of the hole after Mom died.." she chuckled, "Oddly enough, I'm branching off with a were, and we usually don't trust other species."
“Oh.” Samuel frowned a little. Sometimes he forgot how different it was for other people, not having to deal with an entirely different set of unspoken laws on top of the ones already enforced on the human level. He had always assumed that other supernaturals would have similar rules, but it appeared not.Â
She nodded, "My kind on the whole are pretty....solitary. We tend to stick with our families. Leave other families alone....it gets...lonely after awhile."

[text] I’ll be over to help with renovations after class. Need me to bring anything? Lunch, paint brushes ect?
[text] No not really, most of the stuff is here already.
[text] Alright. I'll be there about five. I'm going to stop and check on my dad.
Samuel hesitated, then shrugged, raking his fingers through his hair. “Well, I’d heard about this place a lot. Like, it’s a sanctuary, you know? And… well, I had a few… run-ins. Hunters, you know? And I kept wandering into other wolf’s territories. I figured I wouldn’t have to deal with that here.”
'I don't know much about territories. I know sorcerers have certain training spots passed down, but their pretty fluid." she tucked her hair behind her ears.

“No, no, don’t apologize!” Samuel rubbed the back of his neck, smiling a little nervously. “I don’t really have friends either, so I get it.” Except, honestly, Samuel didn’t get it - he hadn’t felt “centered” in years.
She tilted her head, wondering what social protocol was for calling people out on their bull shit was. He wouldn't have wandered for so long if he was centered. "So, when did you decide you wanted to settle down? Like..what pushed you to say 'Hey, this shit is getting old.'

Renovating is a pain in the ass
Do you need help? I know nothing about tools, but I'm a fast learner and know how to paint walls.
Renovating is a pain in the ass
I don’t have to hire someone for small stuff. I hired people to fix the bar and the walls.
It won’t be long.
You got this, that's why things are breaking, I assume?
Samuel chuckled slightly. “Do you stargaze all the time? Like, nightly?” He couldn’t quite help but be awed by her dedication; Samuel loved art, sure, but he could go months just procrastinating on it and struggling with art block. He couldn’t imagine being so committed to something - other than his pack, of course, but then, Samuel had failed even that, in the end.
"Barring cloudy nights and exams. I really don't have a lot else to do." she shrugged. "I really don't have a lot of friends, so there's no social life to worry about." she smiled, "Besides, it's something I'm good at, and it helps...center me. Remind me that there's more important things than me. In the grand scheme of things, my drama is nothing." she chuckled "Sorry for the ramble."

Samuel nodded, settling a little more into his seat. He wondered why Aideen had suggested it to him so eagerly - was it just something Aideen did for other supernaturals in general, or was it obvious how tenuous Samuel’s control was? The later idea unsettled him, and he was quick to try and change the subject. “Do you go there a lot? To train?”
She let the topic change, not wanting to stir up trouble, "When I first began my training yeah, but now, not so much. About once a month I go 'recharge', but otherwise, I leave it to the wolves. Besides, there's no prime star gazing spots anywhere, so there's really no point."
An intensely grateful look overcame Samuel, and he nodded, a smile crossing his lips. “I had no idea there were places like that,” he said, thankfully. “I’ll definitely check it out, thank you.” In truth, Samuel definitely needed the help; without the support of a pack, he had only a fragile hold on his control.
She smiled, "Yeah, as far as I'm aware, no one knows who the Asher's are. Not even sure if they're alive." she chuckled, "One of the town's best kept secrets, to be honest." She had no idea what Samuel was going through, but as far as she as aware, he had no pack. That had to do something to him.
Renovating is a pain in the ass
I could, but my masculinity says no and If it escaped your notice. I am not very popular here.
Thanks to my choices of words at the beginning.
Don't let a few citizens jade you. Besides, think of it in a business sense. The more people you hire, the faster you can open and make money.
Renovating is a pain in the ass
You fix one thing, another one breaks.
Not trying to demean your masculinity, but why don't you hire someone to help?

First 'not date' | Aideen & Bella
Bella downed the rest of the whiskey from her glass and shooed the old man out the door. “I’ll just be a minute.” She yelled walking to the back room. “I live in Columbus Residence or whatever.” She mumbled peaking her head out for a moment to see Aideen. She poked her head back into the back room, finishing up the final closing procedures. “I like stars, I’ll be fun.” She said quietly and grabbed the whiskey bottle throwing it into her bag as she pulled her leather jacket on. “Ready to go.” She nodded. Looking up at Aideen she smiled brightly, for what felt like forever. She had an oddly good feeling about the brunette.Â
She finished her whiskey while waiting for Bella to close up. Columbus...that was down the road from the dorms, so they could star gaze on the roof, and Bella could either stay the night or walk back to her place. She nodded, glad that her powers kept her warm. "Yeah." she smiled, resisting the urge to grab Bella's hand. It wasn't her place to do that. She started walking "Do you know anything about the stars?" she asked curious.
“Asher Land?” Samuel frowned, trying to sort through his memory. “Not that I can remember,” he said.
She nodded, "I'm pretty sure it's a place where certain people go once a month when their feelings are intensified. You may have to ask someone else to be  sure." she hoped he understood that. "Sometimes people like me are taken there for training."Â
