Bless Miss Leslie for clearing things up! So we’re getting two mini seasons, kind of like how Roanoke was split into the reenactment and the return. It’s definitely an interesting format, and one they’ve been able to pull off with relative success as long as they don’t try to cram too much in. I just hope that the casts will overlap some, because it would be a shame to only see our faves for half the season.

I’m still calling that the two stories won’t be completely unrelated. I don’t see a reason to do it this way otherwise.

But now, with the sea & sand hint, I’m also thinking back to the “things are beginning to wash up on shore” teaser, and my other theory is this: one perspective will be present day, where the wreckage of a ship brings something supernatural and creepy to land, and the other story will be the events that led to the shipwreck in the first place.

In any case, I really love the idea of dealing with two time periods—especially if we got to see people playing their own descendants!

We know there are creatures, aliens have been rumored, but nothing has been confirmed. I’m somehow imagining these creatures to be man-made rather than supernatural. Think Dr. Arden from Asylum and his experiments x100 and gone really wrong.
