okay im actually LIVING for the shards trailer. im a total sucker for a good 80s aesthetic and i love how its literally organized around the meta framing of bret explaining his less than zero pitch and then showing us the scenes in the shards that correspond with what he’s saying. also the “does it have sex in it?” / “yes” cutting to bret and debbie to show how bret in his pitch is saying what he thinks people want to hear/the story people want from him rather than the actual (queer) reality of what’s going on
